Jaguars & LGT Vestra US Gridiron Grant University Scholarship Scholarship description: Building on their shared values of entrepreneurship and support for the community, the Jacksonville Jaguars and LGT Vestra US are proud to launch the Gridiron Grant University Scholarship for the first time ever in the UK. Both organisations recognize the importance of education and have committed to provide two student athletes with the opportunity to receive full tuition fee scholarship to a UK higher education institution, as a reward for their contribution to the game and the community. The Gridiron Grant initiative will specifically offer support to students graduating secondary school who play American Football on a regular basis through the Jacksonville Jaguars JagTag programme. As well as participation students will be assessed against a number of other criteria including academic achievement, self-discipline, hard- work and service to the community. In addition student athletes participating within the BAFA organization are eligible to submit applications based on regular involvement with their respective BAFA teams both from a playing and support perspective. The Gridiron Grant is applicable to emerging secondary school graduates hoping to attend University in the UK, an accredited college or a technical training school that are recognised three-year or four-year higher education programmes. Eligibility Requirements: • Must be a current and regular participant in the Jacksonville Jaguars JagTag or JagTag Satellite programmes or an accredited BAFA programme. • Demonstrate strong self-discipline, hard-work and service to the community. • Anticipating completion of A-levels or equivalent technical qualification at the end of the current academic year. • Accepted or anticipated acceptance into a degree or technical certification at an accredited college, university or technical training school. • Minimum cumulative 280 UCAS points or equivalent.
