Blocking
Blocking is the term used to describe where and how an actor
moves on the stage during a play.
Blocking includes elements such as where an actor takes his
place at the beginning of a scene, crossing, when an actor
moves across the length of the stage to another actor or part
of the set, and any action that asks an actor to employ the use
of a prop.

Importance in blocking is that:
1) it must continue the story;
2) it must be done in a way that looks natural; and
3) the director must make certain that the blocking does not
conflict with what he or she wants the audience to see by way
of the actor's profile.

Movement
Movement is when you act out what you are feeling and what the
script is
Movement covers:
where we move to on and around the stage - upstage, downstage,
avoiding masking another actor, etc
how we move to help with characterisation - slowly, painfully,
lightly, etc how we move in relation to other characters - threateningly,
fearfully, in a friendly manner, etc

Crossing
Counter crossing is moving in the opposite direction of
someone else who is crossing. So if you're stage left, and
they're stage right, and they cross towards you, you'll cross to
stage right. It helps keep the stage picture balanced

Gesture
A lot of the time it means to move your hand in a dramatic
waye.g, if the character is really upset, you might wave your
arms a little or holding the back of the hand to the forehead
E.g : Cinderella: (crying sadly) I wish I could go, too.

has a hard-edged effect, used to light
characters or elements on the stage. Coloured
filters can be used with this lamp.
Fresnel- used for a softer edged effect, with a
diffusing lens in front of the lamp. It's useful
for good overall light, when used with others.
