• Popocatépetl- guerrero valiente, lucho por su país.

• Ixtaccihuatl- princesa Azteca, hija del emperador.

• Los guerreros ganan la batalla pero, un guerrero celoso regreso antes que Popocatépetl y hizo creer a la princesa que Popo estaba muerto.

• Ixy tenia que casarse con el guerrero celoso pero en la fiesta de celebración cayó muerta.

• Popocatépetl regreso y encontró a la princesa muerta. Llevo el cuerpo de ella a las montañas, y un dios los convirtió en volcanes.

• Cuando el Popocatépetl tiembla significa que llora por su querida Ixy.
