Dear Sir/Madam I read your advertisement in a student magazine and I would be really interested in volunteering in the international sport event that you organised. I am a twenty-two-year-old graduate from the Languages School in Brighton.I have a diploma in English Literature and furthermore , I have been styding English for ten years and I have recently obtained a grade B in the Cambridge Advanced in English examination. Also I speak French fluently because my mother is french and I know how to operate a computer. I believe that I have qualities which make me a volunteer such as: I like to socialise with people, encouraging and listening them and I rapidly make friends,I am a reliable, friendly, patient person ,I have played volleyball in the college for over five years ,so I am used to working with other people . Last summer I was employed by the Peterson Center as a teacher at a kindergarden. My duties included supervising and organizing different educational and entertaining activities for children but also assessing their progress in language learning .Also I have worked two years ago as a volunteer at a similar event. This gave me a lot of experience in working with different kinds of people. I can send you the references from these employers if you need them. As my references show, I am a reliable , hard-working person, responsible and I would like to gain more experience in volunteering. Thank you for your interest in my application .I look forward to hearing from you. Yours faithfully ,

Dear Mr Williams

As I am interested in taking language courses in London I am writing to obtain more information about the courses you offer.I am thinking of attending a course for three or four weeks in September.Could you give me or send me more information ,details of prices?

I would chiefly like to know how many students attend the school and also like to know the number of students that are in a class.

Could you tell me if the teachers are all qualified? As far as the staff is concerned what could you tell me? I also like to know more about the forms of entertainement .The price of the course includes all the activities?

Also , can you tell me what amenities there are near the school ? Is there a park,a cinema,a sweet-shop?

How is the school organised?Has it laboratories, libraries where we could study, room for festivities where we could present our projects, eating hall ,rooms of sports?

I look forward to receiving your reply.

Yours faithfully,

Ularu Alina.

Review

Thank you for giving me the chance to give feedback about my experiences at College Bracknell.

Firstly I would like to talk about the teachers ,who are very good prepared. They teach us very well for examinations and it is observed because many of us obtained good grades. We could discuss our ideas in class and teachers never dismissed them no matter how they were and , of course , we enjoy this .The teachers always give us difficile homework and they are very strictly about it,but I realise that homework is important.

Furthermore, although the teaching was good ,facilities were not. There were not enough computers for the whole class to use at the same time ,the library did not have enough desks and there were not enough copies of important books and ,in addition to this, there were not the books we need. On a social level , there were a lot of sports and music clubs to join , but very few others .

Secondly , I have always liked to go on activity holidays with my colleagues ,but unfortunately the school organised very few trips and I am so discontent with that.
