April 14, 2013 PLAN
Hello!
My name is Sarah. I am nine. I’m from Iraq. I was born in Dohuk, but I live with my
parents, my two sisters and our grandparents in Erbil. My father is a bus driver. He is 45 years
old. My mother is a housewife. Can you tell me about your family?
I like playing the quitar and taking photos. I really hate shopping, but my elder
sisters, Mary and Jin like buying new things. I’ ve got a great collection of stickers. My friend,
Sima, has got a shell collection. What do you like doing?
My school is Birayati Primary School. It’s a very big school. There are many students
in my school. My class is 3/A. I have lessons in the morning and afternoon. I learn English,
Turkish, Arabic and Kurdish. Science and English are my favourite lessons. I like using graphic
organizers for my homework. My science teacher is a very nice teacher. We learn many
things about nature and other creatures. Lion and wolf are my favourite animals becaure they
are very brave.
Erbil is a very big city. There are a lot of historical places. We went to Erbil Castle two
weeks ago. It was very interesting. Dolma is our national dish. My mother prepare dolma with
onion, eggplant, squash, pepper and cucumber. Onion dolma is very tasty. What is your
favourite dish? What are the ingredients?
I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
All my best wishes,
Sarah Davud
