LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MY STORY

• I had been moved to England when I was at university. I had been working at la Tasca in Manchester for a few months.

• One Friday night I was working behind the bar. It was packed out and there was a great atmosphere. I was asked for a jug of Sangria, so as soon as I had got an empty out of the dishwasher it completely shattered into tiny pieces of glass.

• When I realised that I was bleeding, I ran towards the back of the restaurant. I told my colleagues that I was really queasy and fainted. I was immediately rushed into hospital where I was given an X ray to check whether there was any small particles of glass under the surface of the skin. I was given stitches and a bandage to cover my cut.

• I was lucky that the broken glass hadn’t cut an artery. Fortunately, it was just a scare that remember by this scar.
