The basic building blocks of all things. They are found in all things.

They are made of small particles:

Electrons (-), Neutrons (O) & Protons (+)

There are 92 kinds of natural atoms

Natural atoms examples: oxygen, hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, gold, silver, sulfur, helium, aluminum etc..

So...Aluminum foil is made of aluminum atoms.

A diamond consists of carbon atoms.

Sand is made of silicon and oxygen atoms.

The sugar in my tea...carbon, hydrogen & oxygen atoms

MOLECULES?

Molecules:

They are combinations of tightly bound atoms.

The atoms in molecules are held together by sharing electrons

Ex: Water is a combo of 2 hydrogen and 1 oxygen. Hence....H2O!

Molecules are extremely small and you need special labs to see them. Imaging them is even harder!
