The Stroke death rate is approximately, 36.9 deaths per 100.000 peopleSigns of Stroke

Additional sign of a stroke may include:

Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body.Sudden confusion, troubles speaking. or understanding.Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes.Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, lack of balance or coordination.Sudden severe headache with no known cause

Plaque Ruptures

Brain tissue blockage

Ischemia

Ischemia is a restriction in blood supply to tissues, causing a shortage of oxygen and glucose needed for cellular metabolism. Ischemia is generally caused by problems with blood vessels, with resultant damage to or dysfunction of tissue. It also means local anemia in a given part of a body sometimes resulting from congestion.

Ischemia comprises not only insufficiency of oxygen, but also reduced availability of nutrients and inadequate removal of metabolites.

Hemorrhagic Strokes (Bleeds)

Hemorrhagic stroke accounts for about 13 percent of stroke cases. It results from a weakened vessel that ruptures and bleeds into the surrounding brain.

Hemorrhagic stroke is when the walls of a blood vessel in the brain become weak and bust, causing bleeding and brain damage. The two types of hemorrhagic strokes are intracerebral;hemorrhage or subarachnoid hemorrhage.

Hemorrhagic stroke occurs when a weakened blood vessel ruptures. Two types of weakened blood vessels usually cause hemorrhagic stroke: aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations (AVMs).Transient Ischemic Attack

While transient ischemic attack (TIA) is often labeled mini-stroke, it is more accurately characterized as a warning stroke, a warning you should take very seriously.

TIA is caused by a clot; the only difference between a stroke and TIA is that with TIA the blockage is transient (temporary).

TIA symptoms occur rapidly and last a relatively short time. Most T.IAs last less than five minutes; the average is about a minute. When a TIA is over, it usually causes no permanent injury to the brain.
