1. Take out a piece of paper
2. Draw a big box on it
3. Draw a horizontal line across the middle
of the box
4. Put a Label Above the Box Titled
“Nouns”
5. Label the top half, “Things I Know”
6. Label the bottom half, “Things I
Learned”
7. Fill out the top ½ of the box

Let’s Start with…Common & Proper Nouns.
What is the difference, kids?

That’s right! A common
noun names anything
that is not specific.
Therefore, it does not
have a capital letter.
And a proper noun is something
specific, so it does require a capital
letter!
