January Wellness Theme Emotional Wellness

Getting Your Mind Right! During the month of January, Wellness Arts will be focusing on Getting Your Mind Right! We'll be highlighting some new initiatives like Wellness Vitamins, an evening game night and a trivia contest.

Join us Thursday, January 4 from 2:00-4:00 pm in the Ball Room at the Fitness Center for our Wellness Kick-Off Celebration!

Wellness Vitamins are quotes or sayings to help you stay motivated in your journey to wellness. They are just a little something to make you think, and smile! Stop by the Bay Window each day to pick one up. You may keep the quote or drop it back in the container for someone else to enjoy.

Watch for weekly Trivia Questions on the easel in the hallway across from the Library. Answer each question on a strip of paper and place your answers in the envelope. The following week, we'll show the correct answers.

Join Janice Thursday, January 18 at 11:00 am (details on page 6) for a Laughter Club event that's sure to have you doubling over in laughter. Learn how to prevent Hardening of the Attitudes. Let's chase those post-Christmas and Winter blues away!

10:00 AM–4:00 PM Spiritual Arts Invites You to Walk the Labyrinth Piner Hall

A labyrinth is an ancient symbol representing a journey to our own center and back again out into the world. Labyrinths have long been used as meditation and prayer tools. Our labyrinth will be available throughout the day. There will be a guide, explanatory information and quiet music. During this time, you may also create a Kindness rocks to place around campus to cheer up someone's day. This is a simple painting project anyone can do, even those who believe they are creatively challenged. Janice will lead this activity from 2:00–4:00 pm.
