Modified-Duty is strongly supported by the medical professionals at Texas MedClinic unless otherwise specified by the company. We focus on returning employees to work quickly, and without excess use of physical therapy, to save you time and money.
Our medical team has a strong track record of getting employees back to work quickly.
We see between 45,000-50,000 work related visits each year. Of those visits:
85% of patients are retuned back to work without time off
93% of injured workers are either released to full duty or modified duty by the 2nd day after their visit.
98% of patients either return to full duty or are placed on modified duty by the end of the first week.
Of those patients with restrictions:
– 1% of workers remain off work by the end of week 2
– 90% return to full duty within 4 weeks

All U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) drug tests follow federal collection and testing guidelines. All DOT & Non-DOT drug testing follow DOT confirmation testing guidelines.
DOT Confirmation Testing:
Opioids Confirmatory Testing: Codeine, Morphine, and 6-AM (heroin), Hydrocodone, Hydromorphone, Oxycodone, and Oxymorphone.
Amphetamines Confirmatory Testing: Amphetamine, Methamphetamine, MDMA, and MDA.
Some of the substances tested for in a drug test are found in prescription medications. All positive drug tests are reviewed by an MRO (Medical Review Officer). If results are reported for medication, reviewing MRO will request to see prescription. *Non-DOT rapid drug testing is available. Rapid negative results are reported same day if specimen collection is done before 2 pm, Mon-Fri 8-5 pm. Evening and weekend results will be reported the next operating business day. Reporting may be delayed on weekends & holidays. If the Rapid drug testing specimen results are inconclusive (Non-Negative), the specimen will be sent to lab for further testing. Rapid Drug Tests cannot detect synthetic narcotics. However, if test is non-negative, synthetic narcotics may be picked up during confirmatory testing at the lab. All rapid drug tests that are sent for further testing follow DOT confirmation testing guidelines. Rapid Drug Testing is not approved for DOT drug testing.

* Employee will be evaluated to determine if he/she can perform the functions of the job. A written or verbal job description will be used at the medical professionals discretion ** This service is available Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm at all locations. For services after 5:00pm or on weekends, call the clinic prior to going to ensure there is a Certified Medical Examiner on duty. *** Service will be charged a physician fee.

We Take Care of:
MEDICARE BENEFICIARIES: Texas MedClinic does not accept assignment for Medicare claims. This means Medicare patients will be asked to pay at the time of service, and Texas MedClinic will file a claim to Medicare so Medicare can reimburse the patient. The exceptions to this are for Laboratory Tests and Injected Drugs/Medications prescribed at the time of a visit. Patients will not be asked to pay at time of service, and Medicare will reimburse Texas MedClinic directly, as mandated by Medicare. For Injected Drugs/Medications, patients will be balance billed for any amount that Medicare does not pay or is applied to the deductible.
If you do not find your plan on this list, or would like your insurance benefits verified prior to treatment, you can call our Billing Office at 210.349.5592. Due to the limitation of Insurance Carriers’ phone availability, we may not be able to provide this service after 5pm or on weekends.
