Bertie was willing to admit he had a problem.

His success was largely due to one man: a self-taught Australian speech therapist.

He could have been consumed by his ego, but instead was open to the support of his wife Elizabeth and to being coached by Lionel who helped him conquer his speech impediment, turning him into a great monarch.

We are all flawed.

No one can become a great presenter by themselves. One needs to let go of their ego, reach out, and be open to feedback.

You’re only as great as the people you surround yourself with.

It wasn’t until he let go of his ego and was willing to accept the exercises from Lionel that he was able to change.

He knew this, not from his academic credentials (he had none), but rather from the methods he studied and applied based on what he found worked for over 30 years.
