entence is made up for different words combined into pattern that expresses a complete thought. When written, it begins with a capital letter and ends with a

period, a question mark or an exclamation mark. In its simplest form, this complete statement is called independent clause or a simple sentence.

SExamples:

Allah Almighty is very merciful.

I love my country.

Please work hard.

There are two pillars of a sentence as following:

These are fundamental parts of every sentence. In fact it is possible to express meaning with just these two elements.

There are Five kinds of Sentence:

1. Declarative Sentence:

My brother is a soldier.

2. Interrogative Sentence:

Optative Exclamatory

A declarative sentence makes a statement. A full stop is used after this kind of sentence.

3. Imperative Sentence:

Example:

An Interrogative Sentence asks a question. A question mark is used after this kind of sentence.

An Imperative Sentence makes a command or requests someone to do something. This kind

of sentence usually ends with a period.

4. Exclamatory Sentences:

Example:

The mangoes tasted great!

What a beautiful sight it is!

An Exclamatory Sentence expresses strong feelings. An Exclamation mark is used at

the end of this kind of sentence.

5. Optative Sentence:

Examples:

Peace be upon Him.

May you live long!

Some Grammarians recognize a 5th type of sentence the Optative sentence.

These sentences are not very common and occur at fix saying. Optative

sentences express wishes.
