Lesson Plan Time: 70 minutes Topic: The Smart Consumer Theme: Social Issues. Learning outcomes: Students should be able to i. exchange ideas and opinions on consumerism ii. express satisfaction or dissatisfaction about products Materials: pictures, manila cards Set Induction (5 minutes) i. Teacher shows pictures to elicit the students’ response (express satisfaction or dissatisfaction when consume a product). Activity 1 (25 minutes) i. Teacher asks students to form a group of five. ii. Each group will be given a different places related to consumerism. iii. Teacher guides students by giving sentence structure on how to express dissatisfaction or satisfaction. iv. Students are required to do a role play based on the places given (draw lots). v. Each student will practice the sentence structure on how to express dissatisfaction or satisfaction. Activity 2 (35 minutes) i. Each group is required to do a role play in front of the class. ii. Teacher asks the students whether they agree or disagree with the way their friends express their dissatisfaction or satisfaction. Closure (5 minutes) i. Ask the students to give suggestion on how to be a smart consumer and how to express their dissatisfaction or satisfaction.
