How Does the Web Work?
The Web is a new form of mass communication:
– Made up of collections of Web pages called Web sites.
– Web pages are easy to create and are accessible to everyone.
– The Web is part of the Internet: A Global Communications Network.

Computers request information from servers:
– Browsers on computers use URLs (www.disney.com) to locate Web pages on Servers.
– Routers locate the requesting computers and Web servers.
