Les voix baroques is an ensemble of vocal

soloists specializing in works from the renais-

sance and baroque.

Past projects include bach’s st. John and

st. matthew Passion with tafelmusik baroque

orchestra, bach cantatas with ensemble Les

boreades, a tour of germany with iconfidenti

berlin and a 2007 Juno® nominated and opus

award-winning atma recording of buxtehude’s

membra Jesu nostri with Les voix humaines and

conductor alexander Weimann. Les voix baroques

have also appeared in concert for Festival vancou-

ver, the boston early music Festival, houston’s

mercury baroque orchestra, montreal baroque,

the ottawa international chamber music Festival,

nova scotia’s music royale, sackville early music

Festival, domaine Forget, the elora Festival and in

two opus award winning concerts produced by

cbc for their mcgill concert series.

upcoming highlights include a collabora-

tion with the Portland baroque orchestra under

monica huggett for a us tour of bach’s st.John

Passion, a 3 concert tour of colombia doing new

World baroque repertoire, the opening concert of

the 2011 boston early music Festival, carissimi

oratorios for Le Festival de musique sacree de

quebec, concerts and a recording of the st. John

Passion with ensemble arion for the montreal

bach Festival and appearances in seattle, san

diego, edmonton, calgary and victoria b.c.

d’œuvres baroques ou de la renaissance.

Leurs projets précédents comprennent la Pas-

sion selon st. Jean et st. matthieu de bach avec

l’orchestre baroque tafelmusik, les cantates de

bach avec l’ensemble Les boreades, une tournée

en allemagne avec iconfidenti berlin, une nomina-

tion au prix Juno® en 2007 et une victoire au prix

opus pour leur enregistrement de membra Jesu

nostri de buxtehude avec Les voix humaines

et le chef d’orchestre alexander Weimann. Les

voix baroques est aussi apparu sur scène pour le

festival de vancouver, le boston early music Fes-

tival, le mercury baroque orchestra de houston,

le montréal baroque, le Festival international de

musique de chambre d’ottawa, le music royale

de nouvelle-ecosse, le sackville early music Fes-

tival, le domaine Forget, le Festival elora. Les voix

baroques a remporté deux prix opus pour leur

série de concerts à mcgill qui furent produits par

radio-canada.

Parmi les temps forts à venir, une collabora-

in memory a few short weeks ago, we lost a cherished friend and valued colleague after a brief illness. mary tevlin was our Production coordinator and an important member of the chamberfest team. mary was a calm and friendly presence for us all: staff, art-ists, volunteers, and audiences. We miss her very much.
