An adverb is a word that modifies a verb, adjective or other adverbs
Les Exemples
Pour modifier un verbe:
•Je mange de la pizza.
Je mange beaucoup.
•Elle chante.
Elle chante doucement..
Adverbs that modify verbs answer the question “How?”
ou en français “Comment?”
These adverbs tell you how someone is doing something.
Pour modifier un adjectif:
Il est grand.
Il est très grand.
Je suis timide.
Je suis assez timide.
Adverbs modify an adjective by adding more information to the adjective.
Again, you answer the question “How?”
ou en français “Comment?”
Pour modifier un autre adverbe:
Je parle vite.
Je parle trop vite.
Nous chantons bien.
Nous chantons vraiment bien.
An adverb can modify another adverb by giving more information.
It also answers the question “How?”
