EXHIBITORS PLEASE READ THESE COVID-19 REGULATIONS
• THE ANNAPOLIS KENNEL CLUB and associated clubs will comply with all CDC,
Federal, State of Maryland, Howard County Health Department, and Howard
County Fairgrounds rules and guidelines regarding COVID-19.
• THE OCTOBER 2021 ANNAPOLIS KENNEL CLUB SHOWS are closed to the
public.
• NO SPECTATORS are allowed in exhibit buildings.
• EXHIBITORS IN A COVID-19 high risk group should follow their doctor's advice on
attending the shows.
• COOPERATION WITH ALL club members, event committee members, RV parking
personnel, superintendent and fairgrounds staff is mandatory.
• NO PUBLIC SEATING will be available.
• ARMBANDS must be picked up at designated tables. There will be no catalogs at
the armband tables or at ringside.
• SHOW CATALOGS may be purchased at the club table in the Main Exhibition Hall.
• ALL JUDGING WILL BE SHOW AND GO. Ringside crating will be available in
designated areas only. The ringside area will be available for final prepping 30
minutes before your breed is being judged. Please be mindful of other exhibitors
by adhering to the 30-minute rule. When excused, exit ring by the designated exit,
take all equipment and leave the area
• NO DOG MAY BE LEFT overnight in any exhibit building.
• REGULATIONS MAY BE CHANGED AT ANY TIME. Latest version will be
available in the judging program or upon entry to the Fairgrounds.
COVID-19 WAIVER OF RIGHTS

I agree that I am attending the Annapolis Kennel Club, Inc. and associated Dog Shows entirely
at my own risk and take full responsibility for my own health and safety during these events.
I will follow all rules, requirements, procedures, protocols and guidelines of the American
Kennel Club (AKC) and all AKC dog clubs participating in the shows to reduce any exposure
and possibility of contracting or spreading the virus. I will follow CDC, Federal, State of
Maryland, Howard County Health Department, and Howard County Fairgrounds rules and
guidelines regarding COVID-19.
I fully submit that the AKC, all AKC clubs holding these events, Rau Dog Shows, Kiarry
Enterprises, all other contracted staff, Howard County Fairgrounds and their employees, and
all workers or volunteers, are in no way liable for any present or future COVID-19 exposure
incurred at any time by any person, in attendance or not in attendance, during or after these
events, and hereby waive all rights to file a lawsuit against the above if I am exposed to or
contract COVID-19.
By entering/attending these shows, all exhibitors/attendees agree to all regulations
contained within this waiver. Exhibitors/attendees may also be required to sign a
waiver upon entrance to the Fairgrounds.

carrier of COVID-19 within the past 14 days. I agree that I am attending the Carroll Kennel
Club, Inc. Dog Shows entirely at my own risk and take full responsibility for my own health and

Best of Breed (Variety) Competition
Non-Regular Classes Involving Single Dog EntriesVeteran Classes – Class for dogs and bitches 7 years & over. Veteran classes must meet all requirementsto compete for Best of Breed.
Amateur-Owner-Handler - For dogs that are at least six months of age that are not champions. Dogs mustbe handled in the class by the registered owner of the dog and is limited to exhibitors who have not, at anypoint in time, been a professional dog handler, AKC approved conformation judge, or employed as anassistant to a professional handler
Bred-by-Exhibitor Class eligibility: All dogs entered in the Bred-by-Exhibitor Class must be individuallyregistered with the AKC. The Person handling the dog must be a breeder of record of the dog and an ownerof record of the dog. To exhibit in this class, family members must be a breeder and owner of record.
NOTICE REGARDING TROPHIESIn the case of unavailability, the Leonberger Club of America, Inc. reserves the right to substitute any listedtrophy with a trophy of equal or greater value.

AKC National Owner-Handled SeriesFRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY
The AKC National Owner-Handled Series is a non-titling competition for dogs that are exhibited by theirowners that are not professional handlers.Exhibitors must declare their dog is Owner-Handled eligible at the time of entry on the entry form. Dogsentered in the Amateur-Owner-Handler class will automatically be marked as eligible to compete in theNOHS. Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the judge's book, steward's book & the catalog. Dogsmust be handled throughout the breed level competition for the regular show by an eligible owner.Professional handlers*, household members and current assistants to professional handlers may notexhibit the dog in any NOHS competition.
Owner-Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the dogs that are eligible to compete in the Best of Breedcompetition including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and winners of the non-regular classes.
If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is Owner-Handled competition eligible, it will automatically beOwner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety and be eligible to compete in the regular as well as theOwner-Handled Group.
If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is not Owner-Handled competition eligible and the Best of Opposite toBest of Breed/Variety is eligible, the Best of Opposite Sex to the Best of Breed/Variety willcompete against the eligible exhibits of the other sex to determine the Owner-Handled Best ofBreed/Variety.
If neither the Best of Breed/Variety nor the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety are Owner-Handledcompetition eligible and Select Dog & Select Bitch are both eligible, the judge is to choose BestOwner-Handled exhibit from the Selects and eligible Winners Dog or Winners Bitch.
If one of the Selects is eligible, excuse all Champions and non-regular class winners of the same sex andthen choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the remaining dogs of the opposite sex includingthe eligible Winners.
If Best of Breed/Variety, Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed, Select Dog & Select Bitch are not eligible,the judge may choose any eligible dog remaining in the ring including Winners Dog or WinnersBitch as Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety.
If the Best of Winners is eligible, the other Winner is ineligible since it was defeated.
*Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers'organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves handling dogs for payor received payment for handling a dog.

BEGINNER PUPPY SPECIAL ATTRACTION SATURDAY
One combined class will be offered for Leonbergers that are four months and under six months. There willbe a selection of Best of Breed Puppy and Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed.
Dogs must be four months of age and under six months. Dogs are required to be vaccinated in accordancewith their veterinarian's protocol in order to avoid inadvertent transmission of illness by/to puppies not yet fullyimmunized. AKC Rules in Dealing with Misconduct will be applicable to any person and dog entered at thiscompetition. All applicable rules found in Rules Applying to Dog Shows will govern the conduct of thiscompetition unless these regulations state otherwise.
EXHIBITORS SHOULD PLAN ON OPENING THE MOUTH OF THEIR PUPPY FOR THE JUDGES. AGREEMENTI (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. Inconsideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and towin prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officersagents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that arenecessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge,judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly toany person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we)personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned partiesharmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog.Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned partiesharmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of theaforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by anyperson or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence or my (our)participation in this event, however such, injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and whether or not the same mayhave been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of theiremployees, agents, or any other persons. INSTRUCTIONS1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular
variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniels (Black, ASCOB, Parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in.; over 13 in. but notexceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (Longhaired, Smooth, Wirehaired), Bull Terriers (Colored, White), Manchester Terriers(Standard, Toy), Chihuahuas (Smooth Coat, Long Coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and PrinceCharles), Poodles (Toy, Miniature, Standard), Collies (Rough, Smooth).
2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Recordand dogs which, according to their owner's records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whosechampionships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is Limited to a period of90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.
3. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in this premium list, if the dog show class in which you are entering your dog isdivided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog,i.e., age division, color division, weight division.
4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered doghas been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed afterthe date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog isrecorded in his name. State on the entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to A.K.C. (For complete rule refer toChapter 14, Section 3.).
