The Federation of Disabled Associations (Engelli Dernekleri Federasyonu-EDF) founded in 2011. Though it is so young a Federation; as the umbrella organisation holds 9 organisations in the center of Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. It is the biggest disabled Federation in Ankara, where an approximate 500,000 disabled people live.

is to exist as a Body to represent and support all types of disabled people in terms of their education, rehabilitation, employment, care, legal counselling (protecting disabled rights) and socialization.

To this end, we are open for any type of collaboration with other organisations, institutions, NGO’s and public and private bodies. Also the Federation is providing support for domestic activities in disabled sector in Turkey. Member of Advisory Board in Public Hospitals Union regarding the Project with a “Disabled Accessibility to Hospitals” module.
