Bieber announced two new relaonships with Central Penn College and Cedar Crest College. Central Penn College and LCCC now have an arculaon agreement ensuring students graduang with an associate degree from LCCC can seamlessly transfer their credits into a bachelor’s degree program at Central Penn College. Under the agreement, students interested in parcipang will sign an intent to enroll form, which will allow for dual advising between both LCCC and Central Penn College, assuring they are on the right path to earning their bachelor’s degree. The arculaon agreement allows graduates of specified LCCC associate degree programs a smooth transion to parallel bachelor of science degrees in accounng, business administraon, criminal jusce, healthcare management, health science and nursing at Central Penn College. The program-to-program agreements will provide students with 60 transfer credits and the opportunity to complete a bachelor’s degree program by fulfilling the remaining 65 to 66 credits as required, through Central Penn College offerings on the Summerdale campus in Lancaster or completely online. LCCC also signed an agreement for dual admissions with Cedar Crest College. The agreement allows students pursuing an associate in arts degree or an associate in science degree to be admied as a junior to Cedar Crest College. A pinning ceremony was held in Berrier Hall to celebrate the nursing students’ achievements and welcome graduates into the nursing profession. LCCC has a rich tradion of educang nurses. The Praccal Nursing program was the first program of the college; they celebrate 50 years along with the college. The nursing programs respond to the needs of the greater Lehigh Valley community by preparing qualified individuals for entry-level posions in nursing pracce. LCCC Signs Agreements with Central Penn College and Cedar Crest College
Lehigh Carbon Community College president Dr. Ann D. Bieber announced two new relationships with Central Penn College and Cedar Crest College. Celebrating 20th Anniversary of
Paralegal Program A dinner celebration was held for the 20th anniversary of the Paralegal program. It was attended by
LCCC faculty and staff and representatives of Kutztown University. Professor Diane Tallarita has developed and led the program since its inception. Students were first admitted to the AAS degree option in 1996, to the certificate option in 2000 and to the Kutztown University collaborative program option in 1999.

LCCC hosted the “Your Future is Now” event which invited students from Allentown School District with a red carpet welcome. Students were treated to a campus tour, lunch, information on financial aid for college and an exploration session in several major areas such as healthcare, psychology and social work, computer science, math, technology, business, criminal justice and early childhood education.
ASD Students Welcomed at LCCC
Returning adult and veteran specialist Gloria Lowell and the LCCC veterans club, pictured above, would like to thank all those who supported their fundraising efforts over the past year. The group toured New York City including the 9/11 Memorial which was a memorable, bonding experience for all. “We very much appreciate the support of the LCCC community,” said Lowell.
Kappa Beta Delta Honor Society Recognizes Students
Eighteen LCCC students were inducted into the Kappa Beta Delta Honor Society in April. Kappa Beta Delta honors student achievement in selected business associate degree programs that are accredited by the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

On May 1, LCCC hosted the 2016 Student Awards and Recognition event in the Scheller-Woodman Community Services Center. Awards were presented for outstanding achievement in academics, athletics, student life, student clubs, honor societies, and president’s student leadership and community service.

and offered advice to the students.
A total of $4,000 in scholarship awards from the Krysta Hankee Memorial Fund (KHMF) were presented to LCCC students at an awards luncheon held on May 4. Students who were selected exemplified a high degree of scholarship, friendship, leadership and service. The scholars and guests were joined by members of the Krysta Hankee board of directors. This award is given in memory of Krysta Hankee, daughter of Bill and Chris Hankee and sister of Kyle Hankee. Krysta lived in the Lehigh Valley most of her life and took classes at LCCC. She graduated from New York University in 2007. A few months after beginning her short career at Triangle Equities in Whitestone, NY, she collapsed in a gym and passed away a few days later.
