Some of us have been dismayed by the impact on students and others interested in LeeHarvey Oswalds life who read this article and conclude that Oswald was a lying rascalwho deserved everything that happened to him. Those of us who knew Oswald would

have to disagree. THEREFORE, I HAVE DISSECTED THE INFORMATIONPRESENTED BY BRIAN DAUTCH INTO SENTENCES AND STATEMENTS. Theentire text of concern is located at the bottom of this article.

    .:

    BEGINNING THE ANALYSIS: PART ONE

    Statement #1:

Lee Harvey Oswald was, throughout his life, a liar.

==This is a calumnious statement, designed to prejudice the reader. It is not factual.

    Was Lee Oswald a liar at age 2? 5? 8? 10? a calumnious statement means a

false and malicious statement designed to injure the reputation of someone. ==

He consistently deceived, manipulated, and hoodwinked, with varying degrees ofsuccess. The web of deception wove its way through not only strangers and acquaintances, but friends and loved ones as well. In the final analysis, it becomes apparent that LeeHarvey Oswald lied to nearly every person with whom he shared any meaningfulencounter, and that the lies are perhaps as strong a testament as any to the path which ledhim to his ultimate demise.

==Our political analyst essentially repeats his first statement, adding that Lees

lies led to his ultimate demise. He is establishing a false correlation between lies

(bad person) and demise (bad person deserves to die).==

To understand that Oswald was a liar is not to necessarily say that he was a lone nutassassin.

==When damning statements are made, a pretense of balance is then offered to the

reader, to convince the reader that the accuser is fair and honest.===

His frequent lies, many to government agencies like the State Department and the FBI,might have marked him as a plausible patsy.

==The political analyst again states that LHO is a liar. He now links bad

person=liar to Patsy to lead the reader into imagining that his own lies might

have marked him as a plausible patsy. The accuser again seems to be presenting

  • 8/9/2019 Lees Lies You Decide

    3/43

a logical and unbiased statement by bringing up patsy -- but what he is actually

doing is saying that it was LHOs FAULT that he become a patsy, due to his lies. He

analyst has presented no evidence for this, but he has influenced nave readers to

consider the following links of logical assumptions:

LIAR = BAD MAN :: BAD MAN = DESERVES TO DIE :: BAD MAN

BECAME PATSY, BAD MAN DIED = GOOD RIDDANCE -- this leads the

unsuspecting reader to decide that Oswald had it coming to him without a smidgen

    of evidence yet presented.

The groundwork is now laid to show how bad LHO was, by presenting a list of all

his lies, but not before the lesson is repeated, to make sure the reader haslearned it well: ===

And his scheming and conniving might suggest that he was the sort who could bemanipulated -- hoodwinked, turned into a patsy -- by people who were much morecompetent schemers and liars than Lee Oswald.

===There is actually no logical correlation between a schemer and a conniver

and the ease with which such people can be manipulated. But the bad connotation

is repeated twice with these two descriptors, and then it is suggested that such a

    person can be manipulated.

In actuality, schemers and connivers are NOT easily manipulated. They

manipulate others. Thats what their skill set is all about.

By now, knowing this writer is an intelligent man, we should realize that we are

being pulled into a webwork that merely poses as logical and fair. It is not. Our

analyst knows he has gone too far, calling LHO names that mean Lee is also clever,

so he must throw in a monkey-wrench: our analyst quickly adds that much more

competent schemers and liars than LHO hoodwinked him and got the best of

    him. ===

==Our analyst must establish that he has access to information about LHO, to shpw

he has authority to make broad, general statements about Oswald later, before he

can offer his list of Lees Lies.

I have underlined prejudicial statements in his introductory paragraph. I will then

add comments from a more generous perspective, so the reader can see the direction

in which the analyst wishes us to go: he must establish that LHO is bad to the bone

from the very beginning not easy to do, considering that LHO garners some

sympathy as an orphan, and as a person who became a Marine:===

    Lee and Marina

Oswald told Marina a series of lies well before they were married. Almost immediately,

he told her he was 24 years old, the same age as another suitor of Marina's, so shewouldn't think he was young and immature.(4)

===Neither the first, nor the last young man to lie about his age, when trying to

impress the ladies, Lee was two years older than Marina, so the lie was not that

significant. The analyst fails to mention that Marina was a very experienced young

woman who had done plenty of dating. There is evidence that Marina dated another

American defector besides Lee. She had to be aware of the fact that defectors were in

a special category. The analyst wants us to believe that LHO was not a fake defector.

He never mentions the idea. Lee Oswald told me that he had to lie about a lot of

things in Russia and the USSR because he was a fake defector. By failing to bring up

the fact that Lee Oswald might have been a fake defector, the analyst gives the navereader no opportunity to consider why Oswald might have lied about personal data.

Knowing Marina's family would not want her to leave Russia for America, Lee toldMarina and her relatives that he couldn't get back into America even if he wanted to,having permanently defected. In reality, Lee had not fully renounced his citizenship fromthe United States because he failed to fill out all the official paperwork necessary forcomplete expatriation, so returning to the U.S. would hardly be problematic for either ofthem, especially since they were to be married before going to America.(5)To garner hersympathy, he also claimed to Marina that his mother was dead.(6)In fact, not only wasMarguerite Oswald still quite alive at the time, she outlived Oswald himself by several

    years.

===1) Returning alive to the US was extremely problematic for any American former

Marine entering Russia, then wishing to leave again, with Russian wife and a baby,

no less, at the height of the Cold Wara Cold War never mentioned by the analyst.

Concerning what LHO told Marina and her family about returning to America,

Lee had to assert this in order to get Marinas uncles permission to marry; Lee said

that Marinas big dream was to marry an American and have a chance to move to

the USA, the land of the free. Is this why she was known to have dated defectors?

As for paperwork to fill out, there are two approaches to the mater:

    1) Would a not-yet 20-year-old Oswald know he had failed to fill out all the

necessary paperwork, unless he had been told?

    2) If told to do so, yet he did fail to do so, he had no intention of renouncing his

citizenship and was a fake defector. Then our James Bond mode kicks in: you say

what you have to say, to everybody. If he failed to fill out the forms by accident, he

would not know he could return to America. In every possible way, this accusation

does not count as a lie.

Lee told me that he was an orphan, without going into any details, until I asked formore details. I do not know what he said to Marina, but the word orphan also

applies (especially in older dictionaries) to someone who has lost just one parent, or

who has been deprived of parental care and has not been adopted. The analyst

failed to tell the reader that Lee was placed with his aunt and uncle for some time,

without his mothers presence, before he was then placed in an orphanage at the age

of three, where he remained for well over a year. With his father dead, and having

been placed in an orphanage by his mother, maybe Lee felt that his mother was

dead to him. Even as an outright lie, due to the circumstances, this particular lie is

not as heinous as the analyst says it is: Oswald was an orphan, technically.

    ===

This third falsehood held special significance, because later Lee lied again to his wifeabout the circumstances of his dislike for his mother. Rather than explain his past to thewoman who loved him, he merely brushed her off by stating that the only reason behindhis anger toward his mother was that he didn't like Marguerite's treatment of Robert's wife, mentioning nothing of the difficult childhood he endured under her harsh rule.(7)In sum,Lee was forced to tell a lie to cover up an earlier lie, and the initial components ofOswald's web of deception had been established.

==== LHO said to me that his mother was aging before her time, from hard work

and worry, and that he and his brothers felt they were burdens to her andMarguerite agreed. Lee also told me that he didnt like the way Marguerite treated

John Pics wife, who had a new baby when Lee and his mother moved into his

brother Johns apartment in New York, about a decade earlier, with little warning.

Lee was ashamed that his mother took advantage of his brother, but he defended his

mother when Johns wife argued with Marguerite. Lee Oswald was not one to

complain or dwell on past problems. Is brushed her off the right phrase to use

when describing the unwillingness of LHO to speak of his miserable past to his wife?

The phrase inserts prejudice. Not that LHO was a great husband to Marina: in

response to her infidelity and taunts, he became a wife-beater in Dallas, before he

reformed (Researcher David Lifton noted that Oswald never laid a hand on Marinafrom the time she came to New Orleans to the very end of Oswalds life. The fact

was that LHO promised me he would never hit his wife again, if he wanted to ever

see me again, for his confession to me about it disgusted me. He promised that he

would prove he loved me by never striking her again. He kept his word).

    7/43

We next have a leap in logic from the analyst: LHOs unwillingness to confide his

past fully to his Russian wife is called a lie to cover up an earlier lie.

The earlier lie was that his mother, Marguerite, was dead. Now Lee admits hedoesnt like his mother, and gives a reason why. He is apparently faulted by the

analyst for not giving more reasons. I suggest that LHO thinks of himself as an

orphan, at least concerning his feelings of alienation regarding his mother. Rather

than dump his past on Marina, he simply gives her an example of why he doesnt like

Marguerite. That was typical of Lee, who was a master of understatement. There is

no logical connection between LHO saying Marguerite was dead and then later

stating that he did not like his mother as being a lie to cover up an earlier lie. Stating

that he did not like his mother is merely a parallel statement to the fact that he said

    she was dead.

    Lee's "Historic Diary"

Among Oswald's possessions originating in Russia was something he called his "HistoricDiary," an account of the time he spent in that country. The use of the phrase "diary" is amisnomer, however, since Oswald did not write up the accounts contained in its twelvepages until long after the dates he wrote on each page.(8)The Warren Commission noticeda number of anachronisms in the document, since some entries referred to events whichhad not yet occurred. Also, the exceedingly melodramatic tone (and title) of the diaryindicated that Oswald was attempting to spice up the events to hold the interest of futurereaders. For instance, the diary asserts that Oswald was offered citizenship in the SovietUnion, but he refused; similarly, it states that he was asked to address a meeting of

workers in Minsk, and that he humbly declined that proposal as well. (9)

===Lee told me that he had to prepare two kinds of speeches in case reporters

learned he was returning, and might come asking questions. One speech was about

how he liked it in the Soviet Union; the other was about how he did not like it in

the Soviet Union. Both speeches were prepared because he did not know which one

his handlers would want him to use a the time he wrote them. Researchers have

discovered the existence of these two different versions. Of themselves, they go far to

persuade an unprejudiced researcher that Lees activities were being directed by

others. What better way to cover up such speeches, than for a disinfo agent to

declare that LHO lied -- from crib to grave?

TheHistoric Diary actually contains many interesting observations about daily life in

the USSR. The Diary was indeed written for outside readers, but not for the reason

that the analyst presents, which seems to suggest narcissism. Lee created the Diary

to provide himself a fake timeline to cover certain activities in Russia, the USSR, and

elsewhere that had to be kept secret. As a fake defector, it was necessary to account

    http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/leeslies.htm#N_8_http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/leeslies.htm#N_8_http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/leeslies.htm#N_9_http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/leeslies.htm#N_9_http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/leeslies.htm#N_8_http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/leeslies.htm#N_9_

    8/43

for his time as being spent only in innocuous activities. LHO needed a timeline to

refer to because the real timeline might have actually been accidentally revealed

later. By recreating a set of events and memories that did exist, and filling in the

gaps, the Un-Historic Diary was Lees pocket guide for future reference, to theoutside world. He analyst in fact, was smart enough to bring up that possibility. As

in every other instance so far, he didnt breathe a word about fake defector.==

    =====================part three===========================

    Lee and Marina in Dallas

Upon arriving in Dallas with Marina, Oswald had a chance to begin anew, with an utterlyclean slate. His wife, unable to speak English, apparently felt no need to hold Lee's liesagainst him, since she was forced to rely upon him for everything. Marina could not speak

English, and Lee was in no rush to help her learn.(10)Rather than deal honestly with someof the new people he met in Texas, Lee chose to continue his untruthful ways

Having brought up only a few examples over Lee Oswalds entire lifetime, and now

nearing the end of Lees life, the analyst repeats that Lee has lying ways that he

chose to continue. We will look at the various examples the analyst brings forth.

.This is the point in Lee's life when he began to tell a certain type of lie: the type whichwas absolutely needless and unnecessary.

I wish to insert here an example of what Patricia McMillan-Johnson, author of the

official version biography, Marina and Lee, said about Lees telling his wife that heworked at the Leon Israel Coffee Company, located some blocks down, actually,

from the Reily Coffee Company located on the same streetMagazine Street. The

analyst is picking up McMillans charge: she says Lee told another of hispointless

lies when naming Leon Israel instead of Reily as his place of work.

But it wasnt another of hispointless lies. Lee and I had commenced an affair

and could be seen together after lunch hour, a Reilys. Lee didnt want Marina to

see us together. For awhile he even told her he worked as a photographer. When he

was fired, Lee did not ell Marina. She thought Lee was working when he left every

    day for the next

four, five or six weeks (depending on her changing simony and letters. Marinaherself was caught in s many lies to the Warren Commission (I do not blame her one

bit) that portions of her simony, such as claiming Lee planned to shoot Nixon when

Nixon wasnt even in town, had to be discarded, only keeping those sections that they

wanted to use againts Oswald that were more plausible.

    http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/leeslies.htm#N_10_http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/leeslies.htm#N_10_http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/leeslies.htm#N_10_

    9/43

I testify that Lee Oswald was working with both the CIA and the FBI in New

Orleans, and had significant active contacts with the Mafia as well. He was a courier

and lab assistant in addition, and was a very busy man nothing like the indolent

creature described by the Warren Commission, despite time-sheet records at

Jaggars-Chiles-Stovall showing Lees strong work ethic for six long days a week plusovertime, with only a half-hour off for lunch, sometimes taken an hour late due to his

work. LHO kept those records as if hed been in a lab, and he was in onea photo

    lab.

Interestingly, Lees half brother, John Pic, ran a section of a military hospitals

pathology lab in Texas in 1963. A love of science seemed to be shared by these half-

brothers. Lee is also on record as listing biology and astronomy as subjects of interest

to him. But back to the analyst, who tells the nave reader that Lees lies are

needless and unnecessary and the reader is expected once more to swallow his

    medicine.

After returning to the United States, Lee seemed to lie at least as much out of habit as ofnecessity, to the point where it struck people other than Marina that Lee appeared tosimply enjoy lying for the opportunity to conceal.(11)

===== The analyst has to tell the reader, at this point, that Lee is still telling lots of lies,

though he has no really convincing sets of lies to paste in here. Apparently the

analyst believes that the reader will simply agree that LHO is still lying all the

time. What do we have on the lie list, so far?

    1) Lee added two years to his actual age when dating Marina

    2) Lee told Marina his mother was dead, when he was actually an orphan via hisfather and had been placed in an orphanage by his mother at a critical

    developmental stage of his life

    3) Lee did not tell Marina all the reasons he disliked his mother.

    4) Lee wrote a diary that has disinformation in it, which the analyst believes was

simply to be dramatic though a return alive from the USSR with a Russian wife and

baby at age 22 was in itself quite a feat

    ====a total of three falsehoods and a disinfo-filled diary====

In Dallas, Oswald met a man named George Bouhe, who helped him get settled in thenew town, and may even have tided him over with occasional monetary supplements.(12)

Asking Lee to keep in touch, Bouhe assumed that Lee would provide him with occasionalupdates of his whereabouts and employment situation. Instead, Lee would only call Bouhe

LEE OSWALD AS LIAR: A REFUTATION, PART TWO

LOOKING A LEES LIES BY Brian Dautch

WITH CORRECTIONS AND COMMENTS BY JUDYTH VARY BAKER

Brian Dautch works in Washington, D.C. He was a former member of theCouncil for Marketing and Opinion Research, Director of Government Affairs.

Review: Part One ended wih a comment that an accountant, George Bouhe, is

well-connected to George DeMohrenschildt (CIA ties), geologists, oil magnates, and

also to the Paines. Dautch reported that Lee Oswald failed to tell Bouhe, who had

given him some significant help, enough details about his private life. Oswald was

also too short with him in phone calls.Dautch goes on to say:

When the befuddled Bouhe finally asked Oswald where he was staying, Oswald toldhim he was at the Carlton Boarding House in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas. In truth,Oswald had never been there at all.(13)Later, Oswald would use Bouhe and others asreferences for job applications without their knowledge, and would usually provide thepotential employer with inaccurate addresses for such acquaintances. (14)

Most of the references used by Dautch come from the official version biography,Marina andLee, by Patricia McMillan. In fact, this entire essay about Lee Oswald makesuse of only four sources, all of them hostile to Lee Oswald. The Warren CommissionReportand Marina and Lee are used as sources for 23 of the 26 citations. The other twosources are Oswalds Game, by Jean Davison (2 citations), and Case Closedby GeraldPosner (1 citation). It is a paucity of material and all of it comes from sources that havebeen roundly criticized for undue bias.

It seems we need to look a few more places for more information about Bouhe and whyhe was upset about the fact that he did not know where Oswald lived. Here is what A. J.Weberman -- who sometimes makes an errorhe wrote that Lee Oswald had adishonorable discharge instead of an undesirable discharge a big difference -- from theMarines, but he has collected an important treasure-trove of irreplaceable knowledge, helped along by my profane but fascinating friend, Gerry Hemming. Weberman writesabout Bouhe and Lee Oswald thus:

    OSWALD'S whereabouts from October 19, 1962, to November 2, 1962,

were not discoverable by the Warren Commission. He was not with MarinaOswald, who had moved out of their apartment on Mercedes Street in Fort Worththat OSWALD had rented in August 1962. With the help of Russian exile GeorgeBouhe who had contact with the Texas Employment Commission, OSWALD wasreferred to the Jagger-Chiles-Stovall Photographic Company on October 11,1962. On October 12, 1962, he began work there as a trainee. From October 9,1962, when OSWALD listed Gary Taylor's address on his application for a PostOffice Box, until October 11, 1962, OSWALD was unaccounted for.(Nodule 10)

Stop the presses! Bouhe had referred Lee to the Jaggars-Chiles-Stovall job where Leetold me he had memorized maps (this is in contradiction to what GeorgeDeMohrenschild says-- that Lee got his jib through an employment agency. Ill go withAdamsons statement until corrected.). Lee worked there five days a week and also mostSaturdays. JCS did all kinds of photography work, but they also created classified mapsfor the Department of Defense.

Robert Walker stated that he interviewed a part-JGS owner, Bill Chiles. He reported on Aug 13 2007 that Bill stated that Oswald was generally a crappyemployee, that we [sic] wore thick black military-type boots, was surly, and to the concernof Bill at least, walked around speaking in Russian.Bill told me the [sic] hired Oswald

through the state employment agency (whatever that was at the time)Since they didsome work for the US Government, Bill was concerned about this guy enough to call theFBI. Bill told the FBI that this guy named Oswald was clunking around in military boots, speaking in Russian and making a nuisance of himself. Bill said the FBI put him on hold, and then came back with (and I am paraphrasing here) "...yeah, we know about Oswald,he's okay."

However, Lee told me that near the end of what he considered a good assignment thathe liked there, he had to provide an excuse to get asked to leave. Peculiarly, Lee did nottell me that he was fired, but only asked to leave. Lees possessions did not includemilitary bootshe wore heavy-duty shoes when doing the military training film--perhapshis boots were left behind when he moved to New Orleans, but I dont know why LeeOswald would have purchased military boots in exas, as his job at Leslie Weldingrequired heavy-duty shoes, not boots, and boots are not a choice when packing suitcases togo to America. Anyone who has traveled with a baby knows you leave such bulky itemsbehind. The Oswalds even leave a suitcase (with what in it?) behind a one point whilewithin the US.

So where did the boots come from, as described by Mr. Chiles? Or could it be possible

  • 8/9/2019 Lees Lies You Decide

    13/43

that Chiles is repeating some old lines from a script played out years earlier? Maybe weneed more information on this. And we have some.

First of all, Lee put in more than forty hours a week at J-G-S. He was working at least

48 hours a week, plus overtime, there, as his own meticulous work records reveal.

Typical 9 hour work day for Oswald---about 56 hours a week, not 40 hours a week

so who is lying about Lee Oswald? It is Dautch, who says he was working 40 hour

weeks? And should we believe Mr. Chiles, that Lee Oswald was a poor worker?

What was he doing, working overtime and getting paid for it, for so many weeks, if

    this were truly the case?

Lets look at what one researcher found out:

  • 8/9/2019 Lees Lies You Decide

    14/43

Innocent looking Gates Advertisement leads us to Lee HarveyOswald!

When this next piece, a 50s-60s advertising mat from Gates, first came to usto document as a Kelly Supply historical document, wed planned ontranscribing the text, maybe trying to use Photoshop to get a detailed photo ofthe farmer featured in the ad, and then do a little research on the companywho made the mat, hoping to learn a bit about the printing process in which itwas used. Maybe talk about how these ads were sent to Gates dealers andhow the dealers would get them printed up with the dealers own logo on it.Well, forget all that! Look what we found!

When searching for information on Jaggars-Chiles-Stoval, Inc., the Dallasprinting/typography company that built this ad for Gates, we kept seeingreferences to the Warren Commission Report, the official report on the

assassination of JFK. Weird, huh? The explanation as to why follows:

Lee Harvey Oswald found a position on October 12th, 1962 at the graphic arts firm of Jaggars-Chiles-Stovall as a photoprint trainee. The company has been cited as doing classified work forthe US government but this was limited to typesetting for maps that were produced in a sectionto which Oswald had no access. While working for Jaggars-Chiles-Stovall, he may have usedphotographic and typesetting equipment in the unsecured area to create falsified identificationdocuments, including some in the name of an alias he created, Alek James Hidell.

His co-workers and supervisors eventually grew frustrated with his inefficiency, lack ofprecision, inattention, and rudeness to others, to the point where fights had threatened tobreak out. He had also been seen reading a Russian publication, Krokodil, in the cafeteria. OnApril 1, 1963, after six months of work, Oswalds supervisor terminated Oswalds employmentat Jaggars-Chiles-Stovall.

Robert Stovall and other employees who knew and worked with Oswald were called to testifybefore the Warren Commission, mainly to see if Oswald had come into contact with potentiallyclassified materials, the aforementioned typograhic work for the government, which as it turnsout was actually for the Department of Defense. As far as the Commission could tell, and as faras Mr. Stovall testified, Oswald didnt ever work on those jobs.

OK, now all of the above is the official story of Oswalds work history with Jaggars-

Chiles-Stovall. Some theories point out some other information and testimony that

    leads to conjecture.

For instance, by looking at Oswalds meticulously kept logs ([a]complete log below), they

seem to show a very hard worker who frequently put in extra hours. In fact, he was such a

highly regarded employee that he frequently was allowed to work in the building on the

weekends, all by himself. So did he see classified material? No one seems to know for sure, but

its doubtful that Mr. Stovall would have wanted to admit as much before the Warren

Commission. But some of Oswalds co-workers suggested that might have been the case. The

main work that Jaggars-Chiles-Stovall did for the DoD involved maps, including maps of Cuba

which Oswald may or may not have memorized. Who knows?

[insert from Judyth Vary Baker: I know. Lee told me that he had memorized maps

about Cuba when he was in Texas, to prepare himself for a possible assignment into

Cuba. Lee loved maps and could rattle off not only every city and town, but even the

names of rivers, mountains and parks in the country. I have mentioned this for years,

even though this article only came into existence on the Internet in 2007]

Doesnt it seem odd that a hard worker who worked long hours and kept such meticulous logs

would be fired for inefficiency, lack of precision, (and) inattention. One theory holds that

Oswald was let go on April 1st so he could pursue the career picked out for him by the CIA (or

other entity): the April 10th attempted assassination of General Edwin Walker. Oh my, this just

    keeps getting better and better!

Very interesting sidenote: As noted above, Oswald was fired from

Jaggars-Chiles-Stovall on April 1, 1963. That happens to be the

day after the famous pictures of him holding a rifle in his

be interested in showing off in a series of photos as a hunter of fascists? Would that be on

his mind the day he was fired,? Bu the timing of the date the fake photos were supposedly

taken had to be before the April 10 Walker attack, without any regard for normal human

feelings: most people would come home and have a bad day. But the irrepressible Oswald,

supposedly so surly, decides to pose for photos for his children with a rifle in his handsaphoto needed to help prove he had it in his possession before April 10.

We have Marinas impeccable word as to the date. Though she said she only took one

photo. When it was pointed out to her that there was another photo, she then admitted that

she must have taken two of them.

Later, when she was confronted with the fact that there were three photos.wellin the end,

We have the esoteric word (for 1963) of microdots in Lees address book. Thats aword that might be associated with his job a J-C-S.

    Lee Oswald in Florida

Note that Lee told me, in May 1963, that he had been in Florida. He did not trust meenough, I believe, at that time, to talk about a trip he seems to have made to New Orleansin Fall of 1962, perhaps during the time when people dont know where he is living, whileestranged from Marina. Both Anna Lewis and David Lewis insisted that they saw Lee in1962Anna thought it was spring, 1962, or perhaps fall, 1962. Oswald wasnt in thecountry in the spring: the seasons in New Orleans, as many know, are fall, spring and:summerthere is no winter, and Anna was unscripted, spontaneously recollecting, andrelying on a memory going back over thirty-seven years at the time she was recorded.

Even I, who made an effort to remember all dates and events, so the information wouldnot be lost, have made an error now and then. Were human.

So far, Dautch hasnt impressed us with anything close to accuracy. He mentioned Leehaving a forty-hour work week when it was generally 56 hours a week. But we will begenerous, because he has to come up with smething tha really sticks. We are all human,we all have our trmptations. Lwts see what Dautch comes up with next, though.

We now enter Dautchs next sectionabout Lee Oswald and his wife and the matter ofParkland Hospital:

Lee and Marina's infant daughter, June, became sick and had to be taken to (of allplaces) Parkland Memorial Hospital, where President Kennedy was taken after beingfatally wounded. Lee felt he would be unable to pay the bill, and consequently told an

incredible series of lies to try to avoid paying for June's treatment (which consisted onlyof brief examinations for the baby's fever of 103 degrees). He lied about his address, saidhe was not employed (he was, at an advertising photography firm called Jaggars-Chiles-

Stovall, making as much as $1.50 per hourfor a forty-hour workweek [note from JVB:we cant blame Dautch for just looking at the Official Version of Lees 56-hour-workweeks at J-C-S: apparently he believed the Warren Reportwhich says:He worked a

    40-hour week at approximately $1.35 per hour(Appendix 13, p 719)]

    to continue

and that he did not receive unemployment compensation of any kind.(15) Finally, Leereceived, and paid, a bill for only two dollars.(16)

We find from WC testimony that the witness to the event, Lydia Dymitruk, was not yet anAmerican citizen. Russian-born; she says she was a friend of Bouhe who met the Oswaldsat George DeMohrenschildts home (she calls him George in her testimiony)..

The account given by Mrs. Dymitruk is at first sight 100% believable, and Lee Oswaldcomes off looking very badly. Marinas baby had been ill for a least three days, andOswald did not want to take the baby to the hospital because he said they couldnt affordit. Mrs. Dymitruk [however, unmarried, on her own in the US] stated that Oswald and hiswife argued about taking the baby to the hospital. It seems that Oswald did not think thebaby was that sick and did not want to spend the money.

Mr. JENNER. He did not want to go?hlrs. DY~~ITRUK. So; no. So then he decide that he want to go to the hospitaland take his baby. I said, All right. So, we went to the hospital and we found a doctor. And there were children waiting and we wait. So he took care of the baby. He-the doctortook a blood test and took a X-ray-a lung X-ray and, I dont know, all kind of tests,

right away. So, on the way back-he got some kind of papers, I think it was two copies orthree copies of papers-Mr. JENNER. From the hospital?Mrs. DYMITRUK. From the doctor to go to the service desk.so.copies of papers-

Mr. JENNER. From the hospital?Mrs. DYMITRUK. From the doctor to go to the service desk.hk. PENNER. Yes.Mrs. DY~~ITRUK. So, at the service desk-he was standing here [indicating],I was behind him, and Marina was behind me with the baby theservice desk asked question-the address and if hes working, and he said No.Mr. JENKER. He said, Well, friends helping me.And Marina-she was behind me-and she says, What a liar !

    And they argue again.

[WHOA! Our witness is telling the WC that way back in November, 1962, sixmonths or less in the US, Marina Oswald knew English! That she understood the

questions the service desk attendant asked Lee Oswald ---about whether he was

employed, whether he had unemployment checks, and so on and that Marina,

elsewhere described as knowing only the words yes and no in English, pointing

at things in the grocery store, as described by George DeMohrenschildt, here clearly

understands what Lee Oswald is being asked in English, and she is disgusted and

angry, and right in the hospital, starts arguing with Oswald!]

    Mr. JENNEK They argued-

Mrs. DYMITRUK. Yeah. You know, one thing, he said, 1 dont want to pay

any penny. Its suppose to be free. Doctors and everything in Russia is free.

Its suppose to be free here, too.

I didnt like that at all. I was disgusted.

    Mr. JENNEB. You were disgusted-

    Mrs. DYMITBUK. Yes. [pp. 67-68]

.[I am rather worried that this testimony is accepted a face value, since in November,1963, over a year later, Marine Oswald states that she cannot speak or understand anyEnglish and had been isolated from learning any English by her husband. However, Iunderstood from Lee that Marina did know English. We have to ask us if Marina blewher cover by saying hat Lee was lying to the person at the service desk.

That she knew English must be established now, as my witness, Anna Lewis, relateshow Marina called her at her work at Thompsons Restaurant, in New Orleans, asking ifher huisband was here with anoher woman. Anna, knowing very well tha Lee and I hadmiserable marriages and were having an affair, replied ha she never kept abs like that on

her customers. How did Marina know about Thompsons restaurant? They gave away freematches with covers showing the restaurants name, address and phone number, and bothLee and I brought them home to light our gas stoves with.

==MARINA OSWALD AND HER KNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH===

[By the way, people change. What I mention here is the Marina Oswald who was an

orphan, forced to find a way for herself in a hostile world where her only way to beemployed and rise in he world was through education (she go a degree in Pharmacy) andoffering her body as a spy. We are not in her shoes and its cruel to judge her. She raised

two daughters who became responsible, fine citizens despite the onus and pressure on herand therm. She worked for years in Dallas at an Army-Navy store and had another childby a second marriage that ended in divorce. I repeatpeople change. Now to the facts ofthe girl who met Lee when she was 19 years old: if you already know about this article, skip it and scroll down pas itJVB]

From Marina Prusakova, with Love by George Bailey

    http://oswaldsmother.blogspot.com/2009/10/from-marina-prusakova-with-love.html

One apparent falsehood Marina maintained for years is that she did not

speak English when she arrived in America with her defector husband. In her

Warren Commission testimony she required the need of a translator to answer

questions. Years later in Garrison grand jury testimony, when asked who she

spoke to when they landed in New York, she said no one as she didnt speak

English. In fact she stated numerous times in her testimony that she didnt speak

English at all in her first years in America. She also said in grand jury testimony

that back in 1963 she was taking English lessons from George Bola who just

happened to be Jack Rubys next-door neighbor. However, her statements of not

being able to speak and understand English is at odds with the facts as we now

    know them.

Here is a list of points that dispel this myth:

In 1961 while still in Russia, Lee mails Marina a letter written in English.

Robert Webster, another American defector, said he knew Marina and she spoke

good English with a heavy accent.

Descriptions on the back of photos taken in Russia are in Marinas handwriting in

    Russian and English.

Warren Commission, CE-100. Marinas stenographic notebook found by the

Dallas Police written in English. They also found a second notebook with Marinas

handwriting in English. There are other notebooks with her English writing in the

    National Archives.

  • 8/9/2019 Lees Lies You Decide

    20/43

Business manager James Martin testified that she understood everything said to

    her in English.

Robert Oswald in an FBI affidavit said Marina spoke to him in English, without a

translator, in regards to a business contract with James Martin. A contract written

    only in English.

Marguerite Oswald in Warren Commission testimony mentions numerous

    conversations with Marinaall in English.

Marina gets trapped in Garrison grand jury testimony saying she called Reilly

Coffee Company looking for Lee. She was asked how should could do that, she

replied she knew a few words.

Though filled with inconsistencies in the evidence the WC fails to explore theseapparent contractions. As usual, dont tell us more than we want to know. Marinaknowing English well enough to write and speak would raise questions of whereshe learned it; she was after all, a graduate of pharmacy school. And why wouldshe need it anyway? She would only need if she were an operative for the State. And Oswald was not the only American defector she met in Russia. She also metand spoke with Robert Webster, though she denies this though her address bookhad the address of the apartment building he stayed in.

Interestingly, Lee Oswald spoke excellent Russian but not much of it in Russia.Befriended by the Ziger family, they report Oswald only spoke in English with

their father translating. We know from released transcripts that his apartmentwas bugged by the KGB and fluent Russian speaking could have brought about anarrest for espionage. The Russians were already suspicious of him upon hisarrival. It seems he only spoke Russian to Marina as she said he spoke well enoughto have a Baltic accent. But why did he trust her to the exclusion of all others? Itmay be that she was an operative and needed him as her ticket out of Russia andinto the United States. Former KGB defector, Petr Deryabin said that any Russianwoman that wanted to marry a foreigner and leave had to agree to work for theKGB. Marina got her permission slip fastin 7 days. Marriage certificates wereissued by the secret police, which were also issued promptly.

Marina And ProstitutionAnd she seems like such a nice girl. So sweet and innocent in her early pictures, sopained with grief at the ghastly chain of events she become involved with. To findout that she may have been involved with a prostitution ring in Leningrad is quitea shock. Certainly a great departure from what was written by Priscilla McMillanin Marina and Lee, the 1974 book describing Marina as a virtuous woman. Awomen allegedly thanked by Lee for saving herself for him on their wedding night.

  • 8/9/2019 Lees Lies You Decide

    21/43

However, a Mr. Merezhinsky tells a different tale.Yuri Merezhinsky, interviewed by Norman Mailer for his book Oswalds Tale, saysshe was anything but virtuous, claiming she was a prostitute. He knew Marina

quite well and says she was in a group of four peopletwo women and two menthat were plying their trade in a Hotel Leningrad that were eventually booted outof the city. It was an offence strong enough to be sent to a labor camp, whichdidnt happen to Marina. What would lead her to this alleged occupation can onlybe speculated at but the KGB did maintain, honey traps for intelligencegathering purposes from various officials, both local and foreign. She would havebeen known as a swallow in the honey trap.

Marina was known to associate with diplomats and high government bureaucrats. Her basic clientele would have been foreigners. She would years later admit tobeing raped by an Afghan ambassador. How would she meet up with this sort ofindividual? Never the less, Marina suddenly leaves Leningrad and ends up livingwith her aunt and uncle in Minsk, where he was a member of the secret police, theMVD. Merezhinsky, though not her lover, said she was quite promiscuous withmany of his friends without regard to reputation. He said he never told Lee any ofthis. (Although Lee, understanding Russian would have picked up on the gossip.)

However, Yuri Merezhinsky is not the only witness to Marinas sexual history. Theafore mentioned James Martin, the business manager, was also Marinas loverand learned a lot about her past. He would relate this account to the HSCA in 1978that he attempted to tell the Warren Commission about her background he wassuddenly interrupted by Earl Warren who ordered the stenographer to tear upthe tape. This is destruction of witness testimony in front of the witness and the

Commission! Of course this makes one wonder how much other testimony wasalso concealed from the public in this manner. As usual, the WC had more thanthey wanted to know. Marina being involved with an Afghan ambassador wouldraise too many questions about how she got access to such high officials and whatshe was doing with them and for whom.

Marina obliquely commented about prostitution in an interview for Oswalds Tale. The interviewer commented about her carrying a great burden upon leavingLeningrad. She danced around the issue saying she was never paid any moneywithout defining what she was doing to be paid money for. This is all well knowfor now. Whether or not she was a prostitute is circumstantial at best except the

footprints are all over the trail.

EpilogueAs usual, the Warren Commission conceals from us who Lee Oswald was andapparently who his wife was as well. Her testimony down through the years isfraught with numerous contradictions and apparent falsehoods. She is an enigmalike her husband. She says she graduated from pharmacy school though she stated

  • 8/9/2019 Lees Lies You Decide

    22/43

when she was 14 years old. As a young woman she goes on a two-month travelingvacation of which it is unknown how she paid for it or got the state permission toenter so many cities. The CIA wrote a 29-point report suspecting her of being a

intelligence agent. She undertakes major life changes and choices with seeminglylittle emotional distress, discussion, or forethought. Marrying a misfit foreignerafter only knowing him for 6 weeks, having a child with him, and then uprootingher life to move to another country where she does not speak the language(obviously false) or know anyone is achieved with as much aplomb as figuring outwhat to wear for the day.

If she married a foreigner to come over to play spy all plans were shattered withthe assassination of John Kennedy. The KGB wanted no part of that. For theWarren Commission she went along with the flow. Now she says her late husbandwas innocent of any crime. In the Orleans Parish Grand Jury Transcripts, shecomes off as a dunderhead, not remembering anything or knowing much ofanything. She comes off strangely detached from all of the events around her. Onecan read, I dont know without end.

Marina knows plenty but playing dumb works.

    =============================

So Marina knew English well enough to understand that her husband had lied. Noting thathe hospital sent the baby home again, after all those tests, just handing them a billandthe witness saying she simply drove them home again, shows that Lee Oswald was rightlittle June (a the right age for having fevers from teething) did not apparently even needany medicine, for there is no mention of stopping at a pharmacy.

Lee Oswald was not such a heartless fiend, after all, but it seems he resisted having topay for a trip to the doctor that he obviously believed was unnecessary. He gave in, theytook June to the hospital, they did all sorts of ests and sent her home again, charging Leethe minimum because he lied.

MARINA EXPOSES THE FACT THAT SHE UNDERSTANDS ENGLISG, and argueswith her husband right there at the hospital about his lying about his not being employed, etc. which disgusts her. I do not see any real blame to attach to Oswald as a heartless manwho did not want to help his baby daughter: there are plenty of testimonies showing he

  • 8/9/2019 Lees Lies You Decide

    23/43

adored June and always cared about her health. He finally relents and allows the Russian-born friend of Marina to take them to the hospital, but his dander is up when the baby isthoroughly examined and sent home apparently without even a prescription. He says he

isnt employed, etc. Its a lie. But Its not a earth-shaking example of what a terrible manLee Oswald is. Its more like he was thoroughly disgusted and, his beliefs verified thatJune had nothing serious going on, was not about to pay a big bill.

I admit I have bias about this hospital incident, having known that Lee adored hisdaughterfirsthandand that he would never allow her to go without medical attention ifhe believed she really needed it.

But Dautch doesnt see it that way:

At this point, Lee's lies had now included his wife, those who tried to befriend him,

and hospital personnel who only wanted to help improve the health of his only daughter. The web of deception was growing ever larger.

But was it? Oswald and his family returned to the US in June, 1962. The incident atthe hospital apparently occurred well after November 17. The family had been in Texasclose to six months by that time, and if they had been there only another fortnight, theywould have qualified for vastly reduced rates due to their very low income level. LeeOswald lies and says he isnt employed. Even so, he doesnt get free treatmentbut hepays only the equivalent of $20 in todays funda true pittance.

Interestingly, it is Ruth Paine who lied about the six month rule concerning Parkland

and charges for Marina Oswald in the third week of October, 1963 when she arranged forvastly reduced rates for Rachels birth there, asserting that Marina had been living inTexas for six months, when in fact, Marina had been outside Texas between May andSeptember of 1963 and no longer qualified for reduced fees. We have evidence that RuthPaine lied, just as Lee Oswald did.

Well chalk this one up as a real LIE. Good going, Mr. Dautch! You found one!

Oswald purchased two firearms in the year 1963, both of which would be implicatedin the Kennedy Assassination and the subsequent murder of Dallas Police Officer J.D.Tippit. In ordering the firearms, he lied about two major pieces of information, one of

which did not seem to present Oswald with an advantage of any kind. When purchasingthe rifle, he lied about his name, citing it as "A. Hidell" on the money order when sendingaway for the gun on March 12, 1963 to Klein's Sporting Goods in Chicago for the totalsum of $21.45.(17)

Dautch assumes the firearms were purchased by Oswald. Linda Minor and others

have assembled much information contending that he did not. From my own blog:

Controversy in the case resides in the fact that Oswald, and the rifle

associated with the murder of JFK, cannot be decisively linked to eachother. Lee Harvey Oswald indeed was accused of using a 6.5 x 52 mmItalian Carcano M91/38 bolt-action rifle, serial number C2766. And it istrue that the rifle was sold as military surplus through Klein's SportingGoods Company. However, records indicate that Oswald was at work at

Jaggars-Chiles-Stovall at the time he supposedly mailed a money orderand order form to obtain the rifle.

Oswald kept a meticulous work sheet, accounting for what he wasdoing every fifteen minutes or so. The order for the rifle was sent froma post office over 6 miles distant. Oswald's lunch period was too shortto have made the trip there and back, as he had no car and bus

service to there did not exist. Further, Oswald never left his workplacewith others. The order was sent from Dallas to Chicago, IL but arrived, somehow, the very next day, even though it was not sent air mail. Atopthat, the order was filled that same day and the rifle was shipped thesame day --we are talking about some 24 hours of elapsed timebetween Dallas and the rifle getting shipped out-- a physicalimpossibility at the time.

The serial number of the money order form used shows it was issuedlate in 1963, not in 1962. The order form was also sloppily written, when Oswald, in fact, due to problems with dyslexia, always carefully

printed out such forms. A second order form, for a revolver'discovered' later, is carefully printed, as if forgers finally learned howto create a better forgery. Belief that the order form was manufacturedto frame Oswald is also based on the fact that no box of cartridges wasever found in Oswald's possessions, and that only four bullets could befound. It implies that Oswald never fired the rifle before Nov. 22ndbecause he had no ammunition.

And Dautch is correct that by using the name Hidell that Oswald obtained noadvantage by doing so. In fact, Hidell is the ONLY link between the gun purchases andOswaldthrough an ID card the WC wants us to believe was cooked up at while heworked at Jaggars-Chiles-Stovall.apparently at lunchtime, since his work records showhes constantly busy on J-C-S assignments at all times. But then, Lee Oswald wassupposed to have trekked some 6 miles without a car on his half-hour lunch break there tomail one of the mail-order coupons from a post office further away than a nearby drop-box. And quite surprising about Hidellan identity card that Chauncey Holt says HEmade for Oswaldfound in Oswalds wallet a wallet found at the same time anotherOswald wallet was found near Officer Tippits body. Two wallets for the same manhmmm.

I am losing a little bit of faith in what Dautch writes. He doesnt tell the other side of the

story. I am willing to show when Lee lies. I dont hide it from you. But what aboutDautch, who fails to tell us about the problem with the Klein order?

In fact, there is so much wrong about the Klein order that it would take an entire essay toshow how far from the truth Mr. Dautch has taken the reader by now. I am tempted tocall his article Dauchs Lies at this point.

fact, Lee told me it was pronounced HIGH-dell. And that backwards, Hidell was a

was the fictitious name of the only member of Oswald's Fair Play for Cuba Committee.(18)Prior to this, when purchasing the .38 special Smith and Wesson revolver cited as themurder weapon against Officer Tippit, he claimed his age was 28, when in fact he was 23at the time. It was not necessary for Oswald to tell this lie, since at the age of 23 he waseasily old enough to purchase a gun, and revealing his actual age to Klein's would nothave been problematic in the least.(19)

    ===

Lets be reasonable. If Lee Oswald used a fake name, why would he use a REALbirthdate? First we have to determine thaT Lee wrote out the order, which Dautch entirelyneglects to prove. I have serious doubts about the authenticity of the first form foundafter seeing how sloppily it was made out.

You can have all the tiny arrows you like, pointing to where its Oswalds handwritingbut nothing can make up for the sloppiness used to fill out the form, and Oswald wasntsloppy on order forms. He could be sloppy on envelopes and letters, where an error couldbe easily corrected. If we ignore this matter, there is a more important one, regarding thelength of the rifle barrel that was ordered. Researcher Tom Purvis states the problemwell, at the Internet Education Forum:

    Thomas H. PurvisAug 25 2005, 04:43 AM

Many persons have argued the premise that LHO ordered the 36-inch length TSCarbine, and therefore, this is what he should have received from Klein's.

  • 8/9/2019 Lees Lies You Decide

    28/43

However, the Klein's documents claim that the weapon shipped to LHO, serial#C2766 was one of 100 rifles which were 40.2-inchs in length (Short Rifle), and ofwhich C2766 was one of these rifles which was ultimately shipped to LHO.

In support of this claim, the WC & Kleins have provided the order; shipping; &receiving invoices (previously referenced), as well as the packing list for each ofthe ten crates of rifles shipped. These packing list were completed by CrescentFirearms and included with each carton/crate of rifles shipped and whichconstitutes the listing by serial number of the 10 weapons shipped in each of the 10cartons/crates which were shipped by Lipschultz Freight and received by Klein'sSporting Goods.

    Waldman Exhibit No. 3

    http://history-matters.com/archive/jfk/wc/...Vol21_0359b.htm

Adequate evidence to dispute the claim of the 100 rifle shipment having been the40.2--inch length Short Rifle has always been available from these documents.Just that not unlike many other aspects of the evidence, no one has taken the timeto evaluate it.

The Shipping Invoice, as completed by Lipschultz Fast Freight, (the shippingcompany), indicates a total weight for the shipment as having been 750 pounds. With 10 crates/cartons, this would equate to a weight of 75 pounds per carton.

Therefore, 10 of whatever rifle was shipped, plus the weight of the shippingcarton/crate/package which Crescent Firearms packed the 10 weapons in, weighedin at an even 75 pounds.

Unloaded weight for the 6.5mm Carcano M91/38 Short Rifle (40.2 inch length) is7.6279 pounds per rifle. Therefore, 10 of these weapons, by themselves, without any shipping carton orcrate, would weigh in at 76.279 pounds.

And, 100 of these weapons alone, without the weight of the shippingcrates/cartons, would weigh in at 762.79 pounds.12.79 pounds more than was the total shipping weight of 750 pounds whichincluded the rifles and the cartons/crates/containers in which the rifles werepacked.

However, the unloaded weight of the 6.5mm Carcano M91/38 TS Carbine (36 inchlength) is 7.0988 pounds per weapon.

    29/43

10 rifles would equate to 70.988 pounds, and 100 of these rifles would equate to aweight of 709.88 pounds of actual rifle.

Thereby leaving approximately 40.12 pounds of weight for the shippingcartons/crates/containers.Or, a weight of 4.012 pounds of weight for each of the 10 cartons in which theweapons were shipped.

Based upon the independent and separate weighing of the weapons and theircarton/crate/container, by an independent third party, (Lifschultz Freight), these100 weapons could not have been the 6.5mm Carcano M91/38 Short Rifle, as theweight of the rifles alone would have exceeded the total shipping weight of therifles and cartons/crates/containers as determined by the shipping company andbilled to and paid by Klein's Sporting Goods.

    Math Counts!

[NOTE by JVB: the weight discrepancy was reported years earlier by JohnArmstrong, as well]

Lee was always very careful filling out order forms, employment records, etc., because he had a mild form of dyslexia and could likely wreck the coupon orform. He generally printed them--carefully. Sure enough, by the time the FBI findsthe second coupon, it is PRINTED. Perhaps the forgers involved got better andlearned. This is the other side of the coin, my friends I do not see anything in the

Klein coupons and orders that should persuade us that Lee Oswald lied. However,we can be persuaded that SOMEBODY has likely created some lies about LeeOswald having ever created the first money order. How BOTH packages arrivedTHE SAME DAY at the post office is also a matter of interest, since they wereordered separately and on different DAYS.====

The W.C.s handwriting examiners concluded that almost everything theyhad was written by Oswald, including the order forms.

    Lee as Political Activist

Speaking of the aforementioned Fair Play for Cuba Committee, theinformation provided to pedestrians walking the streets of New Orleans alsocontained a number of less than truthful statements. First of all, the pamphlet, distributed in early June 1963, contained the name "A.J. Hidell," Oswald's alternateidentity (rhyming with "Fidel," as mentioned earlier).

  • 8/9/2019 Lees Lies You Decide

    30/43

[and which pronunciation JVB contends is not true, as mentioned earlier]

Oswald would also have Marina sign the name "Hidell", who was "President" ofthe New Orleans Chapter of the F.P.C.C., on Oswald's so-called membership card.(20)

===Poor Marina! She testified that Lee Oswald forced her to write the false name Hidellon Oswalds FPCC membership card, and she didnt want to do anything nasty like that.Lets think about this for a moment. The Warren Commission said Purtell and McNallyconclude the name "A. J. Hidell" was written on the 1963 Fair Play for Cuba card by thesame person who wrote the exemplars attributed to Marina Oswald.

We know Marina Oswald wrote addresses in English on letters she wrote while in theUS. She was able to handle cursive English, even as she was elling people she could notundersand any form of English. Cursive, of course, is an advanced way to write Englishfor foreigners, who begin with block letters. The ignorant Marina is forced to signHidell for Lee Oswald -- because she is perfectly able to do so. Her objections to doingso may be regarded as an example of her dedication to total honesty, such as her testimonyregarding her inability to understand English. Though we are looking at a list of LeesLies we somehow keep adding items to a list of Marinas Lies.

    ============

Secondly, the pamphlet stated that "lectures" would be included in CommitteeActivities, although he would undoubtedly have been the only person doing any"lecturing."(21)

===But if nobody joined, why hold lectures? Oswald actually wasnt interested inholding meetings or having anybody join he was interested and so was the CIA andthe FBI in who took handbills. More than anything else, Oswald was creaing an imagefor himself as a pro-Castroiteeven though he had been seen working with Guy Banister:

Dave Reitzes [before he turned into a McAdams acolyte] provided information about LeeOswald working with Guy Banister, as reported by the noted historian and Michael Kurtz

(those of you who already know this information can scroll down to my comments on thematter):

"One feature of Oswald's five-month sojourn in New Orleans that has

never been revealed is the fact that he made several trips to Baton

Rouge in the summer of 1963. According to witnesses, Oswald

accompanied a prominent leader of the White Citizens' Council and of

other segregationist organizations to Baton Rouge six or eight times

in July and AugustOswaldwas wearing what appeared to be 'dressy

clothes."Several times Oswald was seen entering Banister's second

floor officeOne day in May 1963, Michael Kurtz attended an informal

meeting in an unoccupied LSU-NO classroom where Guy Banister debated a

number of students on the issue of integration. Banister was

introduced by an LSU student named George Higganbothan. Kurtz knew of

Banister; he'd seen him on campus on perhaps a half-dozen occasions to

this and would see him a few times more. Guy Banister brought a young

man to the meeting with him; Banister introduced the young man was Lee

Oswald. Banister debatedintegration with the students, arguing for a

return to full segregationand criticizing the group for attending an

integrated school. WhileBanister tangled with the pro-integration

collegiates, Oswald seemed tofade into the background, and -- to the

best of Kurtz' recollection --said nothing. "If he did," Dr. Kurtz

    says, "I didn't hear him" (Author'sinterview of October 5, 1998).

George Higgenbothan told Kurtz that Oswald and Banister made a second

visit to LSU, however, and the second time it was the alleged leftist

OSWALD who argued passionately against desegregation (Interview withMichael L. Kurtz, December 2, 1998). Higgenbothan had told the Orleans

Parish DA's office in 1967 that he indeed had known Oswald (Garrison

    files).

Kurtz saw Banister and Oswald together once more, when he was working

that summer for the New Orleans Times-Picayune, located across the

street from the Newman Building at 544 Camp Street and 531 Lafayette

After the assassination, Kurtz informed the FBI of Oswald's connection

to Banister. "They didn't seem too interested," he says. Kurtz wrote a

book about the assassination in 1978,Crime of the Century: The

    Kennedy

Assassination from a Historian's Perspective, in which he mentioned

    the

incident in passing. (The book was reissued in 1993 with some new

material; the Oswald-Banister incidents are discussed on pages

xxxviii-xl of the introduction.)The House Select Committee on

Assassinations confirmed that Banister investigated students at LSU

for the anti-Catsro Cuban Revolutionary Council, with whom he shared

an office for several years (10 HSCA 127)One of Oswald's co-workers

at the Reily Coffee Company saw Oswald and Banister walking together

on Camp Street. One person remembers seeing the two at a White

Citizens' Council meeting. Two people remember Oswald as one of the

participants in a discussion of the racial issue. The discussion,

which took place on the campus of Louisiana State University in New

Orleans, involved Oswald and Banister debating federal integration

policies with a number of students" (Michael L. Kurtz, "Crime of the

Century," Ref: LHO in New Orleans, Part 2 by Dave Reitzes.

Dautch brings up nothing to clue in the reader that the Fair Play for CubaCommittee matter was possibly run by Oswald to attract pro-Catroites. In fact, it was.Herefore anything to do with the FPCC ranks as a ploy-- and of course it will be repletewith all the trappings of a ploy. Dautch plods on, but the reader needs to keep inmind that the FPCC activities involving Lee Oswald were conducted for reasons

    apparently lost on Dautch:

Finally, the pamphlet by its nature, mentioning prominently the "New OrleansCharter Member Branch," clearly implied that the organization was quite large, when intruth Oswald was its one and only member. Now, Oswald's web of deception wasgrowing to include people he did not even know.

Oswald was not reluctant to lie to the United States government, including statements hemade to Agent Louis Quigley of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). While beingheld on the charge of disturbing the peace, Oswald asked to speak to an FBI agent, whoturned out to be Quigley.

It happens to be Saturday, when the FBI office downtown is essentially closed but loand behold, a guy who was arrested for handing out pamphlets asks for an FBI agent tocome visit himand somebody shows up. Whoever heard of such a thing? Oswald wasgoing on record as somebody the FBI would respond to this event would be recorded inthe FBI office and would provide Oswald with a patina of importance, should he enterCuba for the US government: Oswald was making real waves in New Orleans, so that anFBI agent actually interviewed him! Whether Quigley knew it or not, this was all part of asheep-dipping operation to create a legend for Lee Oswald as pro-Castro.

He needed it. Hed been on campuses until college classes closed down for the summer, with Guy Banister. Now he had to erase all that conservative crud clinging to him, andcreate a new persona. But Dautch makes no comment about any of that. It is not his job tointroduce the other side of things we have had to do that for the reader.. He hurries on tomake his point:

Oswald told Agent Quigley about some very basic personal information which theBureau knew to be false.(22)For example, Oswald lied about Marina's maiden name, claiming it was "Prossa" and claimed to have been married to her in Fort Worth, TX.When these comments are taken in combination with Oswald's reticence on the topic ofthe F.P.C.C. and its specific details in talking with Quigley, the interview essentiallyboiled down to Oswald requesting permission to talk to the FBI purely so he could lie tothem.

Comment: If Lee Oswald planned to go into Cuba and wanted this record to show

he was pro-Castro he will not necessarily give 100% correct information. Why

    should he?

    Lee's "Revolutionary Resume"

Later in the summer of 1963, Oswald spent a good deal of time preparing, for the NewYork School for Marxist Study, a resume of his life and many of the activities it had (orhad not) included. Often referred to as the "Revolutionary Resume" (for reasons I willdiscuss momentarily), it spoke of time he spent as a "Radio Speaker and Lecturer" (he wasonce soundly routed in a radio debate in New Orleans),

[Oops. Oswald was on TV briefly, was in a 5-minue radio interview, and then was in

a nearly half-hour radio debate with three others and soundly routed hardly

describes the situation, where he held up well against three others, only being

flustered when his defection was brought up, out of the blue. For the rest of the

event, he did wellthough that is hardly the point. He was a radio speaker and

yes, he was a lecturer which matter is totally ignored by Dautch. Dautch nevermentions any debates on campus with Banister:

George Higgenbothan told Kurtz that Oswald and Banister made a second

visit to LSU, however, and the second time it was the alleged leftist

OSWALD who argued passionately against desegregation (Interview with

    Michael L. Kurtz, December 2, 1998)

Nor does Dautche reveal that Oswald spoke for an hour and en minutes at SpringHill College, lecturing a full hall of graduate students studying for the priesthood at

Seminary, there, accompanied by their professors, most of them astute Jesuits. He

then fielded questions for another twenty minutes. Why does Dautch not mentionthis? The Jesuits would have reminded Dautch that omission is a sin, jus as is

[Error on Dautchs part. Oswald had sophisticated camera equipment and George

DeMohrenschildt commented on the fine quality of Oswalds framed black-and-

white photos, which Oswald had dark-room processed himself. Oswald placed

photographer on many of his job application forms and it was his desire to work as

a photographer; simply because he could not get hired as one does not mean that he

was just a J_C_S employeehe was doing photo pre-productions, worked withmattes and Exacto knives there (personal knowledge) and blew up or reduced

a "Marxist," "Defector," and "Resident of U.S.S.R."(23)

[Remember for whom this was written. Is Dauch trying to tell us that Lee Oswald

was NOT a defector? Not a Marxist? At lasta glimmer of hope for Dautch! But no

he also mentions Resident of U.S.S.R does he imply this is a lie, too? At any

rate, having described he document and its mixed bag of qualifications, Dautch

    then states:]

Later, Oswald took this resume to Mexico City, hoping to impress the Cuban Embassywith the qualifications it represented. Oswald wanted to gain entry to Cuba in order tofight for the man he often called "Uncle Fidel."(24)

[We have Marina (as always, a reliable witness) telling us what Oswald thought of

Uncle Fidel and then we have the truth, of which Dautch has nary a clue. Oswald

had an assignment in Mexico City not the subject of his paperand prepared

information he felt he might need to fulfill it. The whole incident must be the focus of

another paper. But briefly, Dautchs omission of such items as REAL lectures

betrays only his reluctance to be hones, raher than Oswaalds Lies.]

On October 14, 1963, Oswald rented an eight-by-twelve foot room at 1026 NorthBeckley Street, in Dallas' Oak Cliff neighborhood, using the name O.H. Lee. At this point,Oswald was lying to virtually anyone who asked what his name was, including thelandlady and manager at this particular boarding house, Gladys Johnson.(25)

[What a big, bad lie! Has anyone looked into what the term safe house means?]

This is the house to which Oswald fled after the assassination, before the slaying ofOfficer Tippit.

[Even Dautch dare not say Oswald killed JFK and then Tippit, but by using the wordfled he makes it seem that way. Oswald fled if we are to believe the Warren

Commission and the Dallas Policeby means of public transporta BUSa CAB

and then, after leaving the boarding house, he fled to a movie theater, where he

Oswald was questioned about his involvement in both cases between the afternoon of

November 22 and the morning of November 24. Although many of the notes from theinterrogation were destroyed, some of Oswald's statements were made on the record.

[NOTE: We cannot trust anything that police SAY Oswald said. Maybe he said it---

while the Official Word from the police actually said Oswald refused a lawyer,

though arraigned for two important murders in the middle of the night, out of he

Among them were claims that he purchased the revolver in Fort Worth, [beware] that hedid not receive any packages addressed to "Hidell," at his P.O. Box, such as that whichcontained the rifle, [but the postal service lost the receipts thereeof] and that he didnot in fact, own a rifle at all.(26)[

[I wish attest here that I saw nearly ever possession of Lee H. Oswald when he moved

his belongings from French St. to 4905 Magazine St., and also, that included the

blanket later described as hiding the rifle. Oswald also told me he did not own a rifle.

Hey could not easily be carried without being noticed. I often consider the fact thatOswald, to try to shoot Walker had to transport he rifle on a city bus, supposedly

used it, then BURIED it (!) according to Marina, and after a few days unburied he

rifle and brought it homeagainpresumably by bus as wellhidden in what? acello case?]

When it was discovered that Oswald was not telling the truth with regard to any of theseclaims, the lies finally caught up to Oswald--the police and FBI refused to believe much ofanything he said.

Now, he had nowhere left to turn, no place left to run, no one left to deceive. Lee HarveyOswald's years of lies had finally caught up to him. Everything he had gotten away withhad come full circle, and he was seemingly paying all at once for a lifetime of deceit.

Had Oswald trapped himself because, when his penultimate scheme (to get into Cuba)

failed and his life was "spinning out of control" (Gerald Posner's term) he resorted indesperation to the one final act that would give him the place in history he believed hedeserved?

[Dautch must bring this up because nobody has ever been able to establish a TRUEMOTIVE for Oswalds supposed assassination of a President of which Marine testified, from Oswald, she had only heard good things. But then , I suppose we should discard thisstatement from Marina, since she lied so often. Yet I think I believe her when she said hatwhen she heard Kennedy was dead, she wept. Dautch now wishes he reader to believe thatsome kind of Karma finally was a workall hose lies had come around fll circle, and hewas trappedbut did Oswald really want a place in history he believed he deserved? If

so, why did Oswald deny killing anybody? A voice stress analysis test proves that Oswaldtold the truth. VSA analyses are more accurate than lie detector tests. The VSA saidOswald was telling the truth. Place that agains what Dautch has to say, and use your goodsense.]

Or was Oswald's love of spy games, aliases, and false fronts turned against him by peoplevastly better at that sort of thing than he was?

[I wonder how Dautch would have fared in the hands of the Dallas police on Nov. 22,

Oswald lied to nearly every person with whom he shared any meaningful encounter, andthat the lies are perhaps as strong a testament as any to the path which led him to hisultimate demise.

To understand that Oswald was a liar is not to necessarily say that he was a lone nut

assassin. His frequent lies, many to government agencies like the State Department andthe FBI, might have marked him as a plausible patsy. And his scheming and connivingmight suggest that he was the sort who could be manipulated -- hoodwinked, turned into apatsy -- by people who were much more competent schemers and liars than Lee Oswald.
