Please schedule a meeting with your child’s teacher if you have not already done so. Our goal is 100% participation! B-Ball Schedule Changed This season’s boys’ basketball schedule has been revised, but this week’s games are not affected. A copy of the new schedule is attached for your convenience. Please disregard the old one! Club 316 Returns Volunteers will conduct Club 316 meetings at LES each Monday in November. They will begin right after school and end at 4:45. Students must have a signed registration on file to attend Club 316 meetings. New Arrival Mrs. DePriest gave birth to her new daughter last Friday morning. Hattie Pamela was 21 inches long and weighed 8 pounds and 3 ounces. Congratulations!!! Party Hearty Students who made their first grading period reading goal enjoyed outdoor games and refreshments yesterday. The boys pictured above dug-in for a game of battle ball. We want to thank our party helpers! More pics are on the back. Red Ribbon Week Next week is Red Ribbon Week at LES. Students will be encouraged to make positive choices by eating healthy foods, exercising, and saying “NO” to alcohol, tobacco, and illegal drugs. Members of Mrs. Goode’s Just Say No Club will share special messages during the morning announcements and conduct classroom pres- entations. We’ll also have a special dress-up theme each day. Please note the following: Monday is “Put a Cap on Drugs Day” and every- one is encouraged to wear their favorite cap. Tuesday is “Sock it to Drugs Day” so everyone will make a fashion statement with crazy socks. Wednesday is “Team Up Against Drugs Day” and sports jerseys or shirts will be worn. Thursday is “Fight Against Drugs Day” so camo will be in style. Friday is “Blackout Drugs Day” and Halloween. Everyone will be dressed in...well, you can guess! Parents, please help reinforce our Red Ribbon Week messages with your children!
