• Some cells activated B cells or phagocytes:– B cells will produce antibodies that can bind

with specific antigen-bearing particles

• Some are able to hide in host cells or only briefly found outside the cells circulating:– Alters the host cells

– Activates cell-mediated immune response

– Involves CTL and NK cells
