“Learning Takes You Places at Mary Endres Elementary!” MARY ENDRES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 2018-2019 School Year As Dr. Seuss would say, “The more that you read, the more things that you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go!” On behalf of everyone here, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome each student and family member to Mary Endres Elementary School. This year’s theme is “Learning Takes Us Places at Mary Endres” and we know that everyone will explore new ideas, informaon and friendships this year. We are all very excited about the upcoming school year and making a posive difference in our students’ lives. Save the Date: Monday, August 13 th 6:00 - 7:00 pm Welcome for 1st grade families and new students @ Endres Are you new to our school? If you have an incoming first grader or are new to the school, we encourage you to aend a special presentaon on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. I will welcome all families with a short presentaon, introduce the first grade team and support staff and hand out important informaon. Then you will be able to visit the classroom and drop off supplies so that you don’t have to bring them with you on the first day of school. Save the Date: Wednesday, August 15 th 1:00 - 3:00 pm Supply Drop Off / Meet the Teacher @ Endres 5:00 - 6:00 pm Supply Drop Off @ Endres The Back to School Supply Drop Off will be on August 15, 2018 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM. At this me, families/students are encouraged to drop off supplies in their classroom, meet the teacher, and preview/sign the required technology agreements. If you aended the new student presentaon on Monday, August 13th, you do not need to come to this event. We will hold an addional me that evening from 5:00 - 6:00 PM as well. However, teachers will not be in aendance in the evening. Our goal is for you to feel welcome and informed about everything that at Mary Endres Elementary. The school website is located at www.woodstockschools.org/endres which also includes a Google calendar of events that you can download into your own calendar. This year, each teacher will have a Class Dojo account in which they will post relevant informaon and pictures of class events to their class story. I will also post informaon to the school story newsfeed. Make sure that you accept the email invitaon when the teachers set up their accounts. In addion, we regularly post informaon on Facebook (@maryendreswoodstock), Instagram (@maryendreswoodstock), and Twier (@d200meesprncpl). Starng Friday, August 10 th , you will also receive a weekly, electronic newsleer that will be sent home on Fridays to preview the upcoming week. See you soon! Como diría el Dr. Seuss, "Cuanto más leas, más cosas sabrás. ¡Cuanto más aprenda, más lugares irá!" En nombre de todos aquí, me gustaría aprovechar esta oportunidad para dar la bienvenida a cada estudiante y miembro de la familia a la Escuela Primaria Mary Endres. El tema de este año es "El aprendizaje nos lleva a
lugares en Mary Endres" y sabemos que todos explorarán nuevas ideas, información y amistades este año. Todos estamos muy entusiasmados con el próximo año escolar y estamos marcando una diferencia posi�va en la vida de nuestros estudiantes.

¿Eres nuevo a nuestra escuela? Si �ene un alumno de primer grado entrante o es nuevo en la escuela, lo invitamos a asis�r a una presentación especial el Lunes 13 de Agosto de 2018 de 6:00 a 7:00 p. m. Daré la bienvenida a todas las familias con una breve presentación, presentaré al equipo de primer grado y al personal de apoyo entregaré información importante. Luego podrá visitar el salón de clases y dejar los suministros para que no tenga que llevárselos el primer día de clases.

La Entrega de suministros para el regreso a clases será el 15 de Agosto de 2018 de 1:00 a 3:00 PM. En este momento, se alienta a las familias / estudiantes a dejar los materiales en su salón de clase, conocer al maestro y obtener una vista previa / firmar los acuerdos tecnológicos requeridos. Si asis�ó a la presentación del nuevo estudiante el Lunes 13 de Agosto, no necesita venir a este evento. Tendremos un horario adicional esa tarde de 5:00 a 6:00 PM también. Los maestros no asis�rán por la tarde.
Nuestro obje�vo es que se sientan bienvenidos e informados sobre todo lo que sucede en Mary Endres Elementary. El si�o web de la escuela se encuentra en www.woodstockschools.org/endres , que también incluye un calendario de eventos de Google que puede descargar en su propio calendario.
