INTRODUCTION
LaGuardiaCollegehasaveryvastarchivescollection,weasaclasswillbefocusingonsomeofthesamelandmarkswehadbeenfocusingonthroughoutthesemesterliketheFarraguthousesandtheBrooklynBridge.WewillbelookingfurtherathowtheselandmarksshapeddowntownBrooklyn.
PRE-VISIT REFLECTION IexpecttheLaGuardiaarchivetohavevaluetoourresearch,butIcan’tseeitbeingasvastasourlasttwoarchivevisits.TheNewYorkpubliclibraryhasoneofthebiggesthistoricalarchivesintheworldhowcouldLaGuardiaCCcompare.

This is a picture the class looked in the Archives this was plan of the Farragut house, before they were built. This purposing ended not being used most likely due to the highway separating the houses.
These last two photos (circa 1934) are presenting the difference between white and black children in public housing at the time. We took notice how the white children were given a better space, due to the segregation at the time of the photos.
This is a picture of an interesting poster of with a lot of history of public housing in the five boroughs. It notes the demand and public outcry in the mid-20th century for public housing .

SUMMARY / POST VISIT REFLECTION Thearchivevisitconsistedofalotofgeneralinformationwehadresearchedatfirst,butthedaywentwefocusedmoreonepublichousingindownBrooklynwhichwasreallyinteresting.Thenwewenttothearchiveroom,whichsurprisedmeahugeroomwithalotofextensiveinformation.IdidnotgettofurthermypersonalresearchonthefiredepartmentinBrooklyn.ButIwaspleasantlysurpriseofthevastinformationwegainedatLaGuardiaCC.
