Reflections

Give the characteristics of a teacher who can establish a well-managed classroom.

POSITIVITY: Without positivity the students don't feel motivated themselves, and are dragged down in the negativity of the teacher. If the teacher acts as though he/she doesn't want to be there, then the students will feel the same way.

DEDICATION: Student's realize when a teacher put's in a little bit more effort than the others for the students benefit, especially with no personal gain. For example one of my teacher's stays back with once a week voluntarily and provides free tutoring for her class. Not only does this help with the students grades, but it also motivates them further because the teacher is taking up personal time to help them.

CARING: A caring teacher is one who has sympathy for her/his student's, and will not only listen to them, but give them advice when needed.

POWER: In order to maintain a well-managed class room the teacher has to hold a certain degree of power over the student's in the class room. It's all well and good to be caring and listen to your students when they have problems, questions or queries but a good teacher never lets a student become a friend or they instantly lose their power over the student and the effective classroom environment.

Cite some characteristics that you possess which you think can make you an effective classroom manager. Explain how these characteristics can help you.

Fair and Teaches class with authority. Fair because I being fair leads to things in order and peace environment. Teaches with authority since I am the master of the class, I want my student to follow the rules and regulations in the class but regulations must be clarify to the students since they are belong to my class.

Identify your present characteristics that you think can hamper you as effective classroom manager. How can you overcome these characteristics?
