INTRODUCTION

The manual provides all the necessary instructions for the installation and use of the leaks monitoring systems. GENERAL WARNINGS

• Before operating on this equipment, carefully read the instructions contained in this manual. • The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any operations performed but not included in this manual. • In the event of faults or malfunctioning of the instrument, please exclusively contact the company authorized to

perform the maintenance or the manufacturer directly. • The manufacturer declines all responsibility for any damage to people and/or items resulting from failure to

observe the safety instructions. • It is considered that all operators of the equipment are aware of the safety regulations relative to the product

described in this manual. • In the event of any doubts on the operation of the instrument, please exclusively ask the company authorized

to perform the maintenance or Assytech directly for instructions. • Any tampering with the instrument holds the manufacturer harmless from all responsibility towards the

competent bodies.

II (1) G [Ex ia] IIC T4 The equipment complies with the essential safety requirements of the following EU directives:: 2014/34/EU – 2014/30/EU – 2014/35/EU Its construction is in accordance with the following rules: EN 60079-14 EN 60079-11 EN 60079-25 REQUIREMENTS CONCERNING THE INTRINSIC SAFETY EQUIPMENT

The electronic equipment contains the Ex barriers and is part of an intrinsically safe system. It must be installed outside the hazordous area and maintained in accordance with the intrinsically safe systems standards EN 60079-11 and maintenance standards EN 60079-25, or with other national standards. The sensors, described in the manual supplied with the unit, can be installed in hazardous areas. All connections must be made in accordance with the provisions of standard EN 60079-14, as indicated by the wiring diagrams supplied with the equipment. No changes to the wiring is not permitted without prior authorization from the manufacturer. Connect the ground wire to the terminals provided. Before powering the equipment, make sure that the supply voltage values correspond to those indicated on their circuit diagrams or the user manual. Before carrying out any work, disconnect power supply to prevent any damage to operators or arcing or sparking. Remove the main power supply before opening the power supply boxes of electronics. The spare parts used must be exclusively those provided by the manufacturer. DOCUMENT DESCRIBING THE INTRINSIC SAFETY SYSTEM

The standard EN 60079-25 defines an "electrical system intrinsically safe" as an assemled set of interconnected electrical apparatus, which must be described in a "Document describing the" system, in which the circuits (or parts of circuits) to be used in a potentially explosive atmosphere, are intrinsically safe circuits. On this document, the charged project designer, through the knowledge of the electrical parameters:

• intrinsically safe certified devices • associated certificated electric devices • non-certified simple apparatus (electrical) • the connection wires

must ensure and declare, under his own responsibility and without any ambiguity, that the storage limits of the intrinsic safety features of the system are not exceeded. In the practice, this plant system analysis, has the aim to define the maximum length of the connection cables, depending on the characteristics of the cables themselves and of the associated apparatus, in order to ensure, in any considered condition, the intrinsically safe protection for the whole system composed of sensor / cable / Ex-i barrier. INTRINSIC SAFETY SYSTEM DIAGRAM

The Ex equipment (sensor) can also be identified as "simple electrical construction", (S.A) if that meets the requirements in the standards EN 60079-11 and may not be certified by an Atex Notified Body if it lacks its own ignition sources. DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT

The system allows the management of up to 28 inputs (tanks, pipelines, wells and tanks dispensers), 8 of which are intrinsically safe. Thanks to the advanced technologies of the software, the system can be configured to perform different functions (monitoring, reporting, alarm etc.), according to the characteristics and needs of the system. The AT39102 control unit is enclosed in a metal container wall; is able to interface to a remote system, and its basic version allows the management of 4 inputs for sensors and 4 relays. Note: the AT39102 control unit can also be programmed using a special software installed on a PC and connected to the serial (See chapter: GSETUP) Technical characteristics

MAIN COMPONENTS

The equipment comprises a feed unit (1), complete with filter network and power supply, from a management main board (CPU) (2) which includes, in addition to the levels of reading and alarm circuit and the serial outputs of control of the various devices associated with it (PCs, printers, etc.), 4 auxiliary inputs, 4 outputs relays and 1 output 12 VDC. No. two additional optional interfaces (3) allow you to manage other 16 inputs. In intrinsically safe version (/IS), 1 or 2 intrinsic safety barriers (4) provide the "intrinsic protection" of any connected sensors (1 for managing up to 8 inputs / 2 for the management of more than 8 inputs). In the Ex-ma version the device can be interfaced to the equipment through a protection circuit (4B) without the use of Zener barriers. Finally there are several different serial interfaces for the connection of the control unit to the remote devices.

INSTALLATION

General warnings

• If mixed with air, flammable vapours can cause expl osive atmospheres. This can lead to “hazardous areas” due to the presence of gases or v apours.

• Explosions and fires can cause serious damage or ev en death. • The AT39102 control unit is not explosion-proof. • Do not install the control unit in a hazardous plac e.

Installation location When choosing the installation location, it must be considered that the AT39102 control unit must be protected against vibrations and extreme climatic conditions (particularly high temperatures, humidity, etc.) which could alter its electric devices. Fixing To fix the control unit to the wall as follows: 1. Fixing the device with 4 plugs from 5 mm 2. Connect the sensors to the terminals as described in the chapter "Electrical connections sensors and

accessories" GSM/GPRS modem installation 1. Insert the GSM module into the special dedicated slot 2. Insert the SIM card in the special slot of the GSM modem, following instructions shown on the modem

3. Start the control unit 4. Check the network connection status on the main display:

Electrical connection To make the electrical connection of the AT39102 control unit, proceed as follows.

• Switch off all the power supply switches on the electric panel. • Make the connections between the power supply panel and the control unit using the relevant connectors. • To connect to the driving force, use a cable with three conductors of at least 1.5 mm2 (phase, neutral and

earth) suitably protected. • The cable to be used for intrinsically safe sensors must be blue. • Refer to the rules relating to circuits with Intrinsically Safe protection

Note A Installation shall be carried out in compliance with CEI 64-8 and CEI EN 60079-14 standards. Note B The cables of the Zener barrier must comply with the provisions of Standards EN 60039 and IEC 60079-14. Note C Use cables that comply with provisions stated by regulations applicable in the Country of installation. CEI 64-8: Electric systems for equipment at rated voltage not above 1000 V AC and 1500 V DC. CEI EN 60079-14 (1998) CEI classification 31-33 “Electric constructions for explosive atmospheres in presence of gas”. Part 14: Electric systems in places with explosion period for the presence of gas (other than mines). Cable safety prescriptions

The sensors are installed in a hazardous areas, whe re ther e may be dangerous liquids and/or vapors. A incorrect installation can cause fire and / or explosion. For this reason, carefully observe the following: • Read the instructions carefully. • The pipes of the sensors must not contain any other circuit. • The cables and conductors of the sensors must only enter in their designated locations. • The power and signal cables must not enter in the i ntrinsic safety location of equipment.

The low voltage in the control unit is considered i ntrinsically safe because it is separated from the high voltage. To maintain the safety is necessary that the sensor cables are installed in their own conduits, to be separated from the other pipelines.

Wiring installation • For the cable positionning, and to seal the connect ion points, follow these instructions: • Use sealed and intrinsically safe cables, preferabl y in light blue color, with filler, CPT02101 code. • Install the cables of the sensors inside the approp riated junction boxes, CPT15901 code. • Use suitable cable glands to realize the connection between the sensor cables and the control unit. • The cables will join directly to the control unit. • Close the cover of the junction box. Connection to control unit Important • The wiring must be realized in accordance with CEI 64-8 and CEI EN 60079-14 and in compliance with the

precautions indicated in this manual. • The maintenance of intrinsically safe circuits must be made in accordance with CEI 60079-17. Input/output cable positioning and identification The I/O terminals used with the devices connected to the control unit must be properly marked to avoid incorrect wiring.

Since incorrect wiring can cause malfunction of the unit, it is recommended to identify the physical location and / or the type of device connected to e ach terminal.

Output relay When using output relays, follow the indications below: Do not use relays to control circuits with higher currents than 1 A (resistive load) or for voltages over 24 VCC. Alarm relays cannot be used for process control. Sensors: installation Before starting to install the sensors, ensure that the conductors are arranged correctly to allow the necessary connections.

Important • To obtain an excellent incoming signal, avoid joins on the lines. • The power supply line conduits must be separated fr om those of the signal lines.

GSETUP

GSetup allows programming control units. GSetup offers various connection modes towards the level control units: RS232/RS485, GSM and Radio.

Control Units connection To carry out the connection to control unit:

- Select a communication channel RS232/RS485 or GSM

- Select serial COM and press “Connect” button

- Insert the telephon number if GSM communication:

- The system connects to and displays the firmware version installed on the control unit

Disconnect To end the communication with the control unit press the button "Disconnect".

The control unit can send a text message to the set numbers (ID004 parameter) each time an alarm is activated and / or restored. Alarm format: "Alarm ACTIVE/RESTORED: ALARM_DESCRIPTION"
