They are employed by consulting and engineering � rms, manufacturing and processing companies, educational institutions and many other sectors. The PSB Diploma in Mechanical Engineering trains individuals to be competent in their respective � elds of engineering and upgrades their working knowledge and skills.

Progression PathwayUpon successful completion of this programme, graduates can proceed on to a Bachelor of Engineering degree, awarded by The University of Newcastle, Australia. Advanced standing may be granted, subject to University’s entry requirements.

Programme Outline and DurationThis programme consists of 16 modules delivered over 17 months (full-time programme) or 32 months (part-time programme), amounting to a total of 930 contact hours.

Minimum Entry RequirementsLocal student:• 3 GCE ‘O’ Level passes or equivalent with at least a Grade 7 in English• Higher NITEC or NITEC in Engineering-related disciplines

*Only applicable to part-time programme: Applicants who do not meet the above requirements may advance to the diploma programme upon successful completion of the Preparatory Course for Engineering Diploma. The course consists of modules in Mathematics and Physics, and is conducted over a period of 4 months. A fee of S$770.40 (inclusive of 7% GST) will be applicable.

The Diploma in Electrical Engineering is designed to upgrade the knowledge of individuals in the discipline and for academic progression to a related Engineering degree with PSB Academy’s university partners. It does not provide a path to certi� cation as an Electrical Technician by the Energy Market Authority in Singapore.
