Robomatrix® is a revolutionary new ultra high speed pal-letizing system. It was developed in response to an indus-try wide need for increased flexibility and speed to handle the introduction of new and future complex packaging configurations.

The best analogy for how Robomatrix® works is that it is like playing tetris with robots and cartons. The system in-corporates robotic pattern forming and features propri-etary software and technology that make it simple to use, with unbelievable flexibility, accuracy and reliability.

The cartons are manipulated from a single stream, ori-entated and positioned laterally, with absolute precision and reliability so they accumulate in the programmed layer pattern.

Once the layer is formed it is lowered onto the pallet hoist and discharged on to the full pallet out-feed conveying system from where it is normally distributed to a pallet stretch wrapping station.

Overview Benefit Specification

Accubuster®Accubuster® is a dual, synchronized servo driven side grip metering conveyor system which discharges groups of packs in a programmed sequence, ready for the robot/s to manipulate into the desired pattern.

Pattern Forming ConveyorThis plastic modular belt conveyor transports groups of packs from the Accubuster® and supports the packs whilst being manipulated by the Robot/s.

Layer StoppersTwo stage pneumatic layer stoppers use to stop a pallet layer of packs.

Layer SweepFlight bar setup, incorporating a variable speed geared brake motor and encoder for accurate positioning as the layer of packs are swept onto the bi-parting stripper.

Bi-Parting StripperAs its name implies, it withdraws about the centreline of the Pallet Hoist depositing the layer of packs onto the pallet or previous layer.

Four-way Layer SquaringFour way Layer Squaring mechanism utilising geared brake motors and encoders align the layer of packs prior to being stripped onto the pallet.

Four Chain Pallet HoistThe four chain Pallet Hoist carriage incorporates a pallet conveyor. It raises and lowers the pallet during the palletizing function utilising twin, hard coupled, variable frequency driven geared brake motors connected to two counter-rotating shafts, sprockets and chains.

Industrial Robots with Servo Gripper HeadsThese manipulate the packs or groups of packs into the desired pattern with absolute accuracy independent of pack type.
