of the term, she has made a remarkable success of her life. It was her childhood dream

to become an attorney. But unfortunately for her, and fortunately for the world, she

failed to crack the admission exam of the Law School. You could only read in fairy tales,

about a woman going through the streets and selling fax machines knocking on every

She graduated from the Department of Navigation Engineering in 1984. She worked as a journalist and editor at the China Shirong News Agency. In 1995 Wu and her former husband founded Longfor Properties. The enterprise grew so rapidly that she became one of the most sought after figuresinChina.
