Developing Leaders atOberoi InternationalSchool, MumbaiLeadership Cafe began work with a
group of students from Grade 7 to 9
at Oberoi International School from
January 2013.
Even though for most students, it
was their parents who enrolled
them, by the end of the 1st session,
all of them enthusiastically chose to
participate fully in the program.
Since then, it has been a marvelous
ride for the students and their
Leadership coaches.
IMPORTANT MILESTONES
Students performance in subjects
that they previously did not like,
has improved because they now
choose to study them instead ofhaving to study them.
Students have developed their
personal vision of what they want
to do and be. They developed
milestones between their vision
and current reality and started
taking action towards their vision.
This was an eye-opening experience
for the students since never before
had they thought of what they want
to do with such rigor.
Starting January 2013,
students from Grade 6 to 8started their Leadership
journey at Billabong High,
Malad.
From a group of wide eyed
youngsters, the students
slowly transformed into taking
charge of their lives.
They are less quarrelsome and
more collaborative by using
multiple perspectives. They
have started putting effort insubjects they previously were
not good at, using Growth
Mindset.
Parents of these students say
that their children have
started becoming more
responsible and less
argumentative.
In February 2013, Grade 5-7
students ofBillabong High
Juhu too, began their
Leadership journey.
Students are thoroughly
enjoying their Leadershipjourney and are practicing the
habits with full enthusiasm!

DEVELOPING THE
MINDSET AND HABITS
OF LEADERSHIPAMONG CHILDREN IS
THE BEST GIFT YOU
CAN GIVE THEM FOR
LIFE!
Children spend their
time at school in
academics and sports.
But the important
lessons to lead life are
often kept from them
till they graduate orstart working.
While a robust
knowledge of academics
is important, leading
oneself and others, is a
skill that is critical for
the 21st century. Children often struggle to set
goals, collaborate, to have mutually respectful
relationships, and deal powerfully with
obstacles. Without the mindset and habits of
leaders, they stumble through their teenageyears and often end up with lower ambition or
reduced interest in their growth.
Development science tells us that children form
their sense of self in the adolescent years. This
is the age of transition from childhood to
adulthood. If in this age, they are provided the
mindset and habits of
leaders, they can not only
deal with teenage better,
they also get the skills to
lead life effectivelyforever.
At Leadership Cafe, we
do exactly this.
Through a 4 step
process, we remove
their self-limiting beliefs,
develop aleadership
mindset, practice
leadership habits and
acquiretools to take
charge of their lives.Students in Mumbai
are already
benefitting from this revolutionary
program with transformational results.
