Robert is currently a Certified

training, program development and application experience. He is a
regular presenter at American
Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) local chapters throughout
North America and at national conventions.
Robert has been in the environment, health and safety
(EH&S) profession for almost 3 decades. He is a recognized
expert in Behavior-based Safety (BBS), Human Performance Management and Safety Culture
Assessment.
He has custom designed continuous improvement programs
and directed numerous company safety and health culture transformations for the last 28 years. In 2000, he formed
Safety Metrics Inc., specializing in helping companies throughout the world become more effective and profitable in
managing safety through measurement.
Robert started his career in 1969 with DuPont where he
worked as Sr. Process Engineer, a Sr. Safety Engineer and later as a Senior Safety Consultant, being responsible for
evaluating plant sites for safety management practices in North America and Europe.
Robert also worked as Safety and Health Manager for Rodel where he established a continuous safety improvement
process to effectively manage human performance and EH&S initiatives.
Robert served as the EH&S Regional Manager for Brand Environmental Services implementing a new approach to
safety; designing human performance measurement protocols resulting in reducing injuries by 96%, (292 to 12),
and reducing Worker’s Compensation (WC) losses by almost $ 4 million USD within 24 months.
