There were so many dedicated parents that volunteered their time to ensure that the night was seamless. I would like to extend my thanks to the Year 1 and 2 Bash Committee who managed to sell over 200 tickets for the night and sourced all of the prizes that helped raise over $20 000. Last week Tonere G and Elliette M competed at the state athletics carnival. As the track events were streamed live on YouTube, both Elliette’s classmates and I were able to cheer her on. They both competed incredibly well and should be proud of their achievements. Next Wednesday morning we have our final Kindergarten Transition Day. It is a tradition that the current Kindergarten parents host the morning tea on the day. I would certainly appreciate any keen bakers in our community to help out by providing something delicious. If you can help with the set up or pack down could you please let Miss Owen know. The Pick-Up Zone always runs smoothly when your child’s name is clearly displayed on your passenger visor. Please use the link below if you would like us to create a laminated label for you. https://forms.gle/CqchDJtGHmyD8Q1d6 I have noticed that the Traffic and Highway Patrol have been targeting Wellington Street, particularly our Pick-Up Zone. Please be reminded that you can only stop for a maximum of two minutes in the Pick-Up Zone and if you are blocking the traffic flow on Wellington Street because you are trying to enter the Pick-Up queue, this is considered to be double parking and this is an offence. I’ve been told that the officers are using a cameras to identify any vehicles who are not abiding by the road rules and fines are being sent out in the mail. Wednesday the 27 th November we are inviting any interested parents to attend a session on Understanding our Enrichment classes. The session will start at 2:30pm in the Library and will run for approximately 30mins. This is an opportunity for you to hear about the process we go through each year to form these classes. “We put our food scraps in the compost and then take it to the garden. This is to make healthy soil to grow vegetables in.” Neve and Skye 3B
