What we do....We offer a range of courses suitable for students who either wish to train academically as professional dancers, enhance their skills or just take up a hobby.
We offer ISTD and RAD qualifications and GCSE and A Level in Dance and Drama.
We also offer classes in ballet, contemporary, Latin dances (salsa, merengue, tango and samba), African dance, Belly dancing and Street dance for children, young people, adults and professionals, from beginners to advance level
We have existing dance class programmes for all ages and we can also create bespoke programmes to address any Exercise Referral Team requirements.
One of our existing programmes is ‘Footstep, mindstep, dancing for a purpose’ which is a physical and health awareness development programme which addresses many issues such as stress and obesity and in turn promotes a feeling of better wellbeing and healthier lifestyle.
Other ServicesChoreography
Professional events will organise, structure and choreograph performances for professional events with own dancers or any other dancers provided.
Fashion shows with a background in modelling, will provide special choreography for fashion shows for professional or non-professional models.
Community and Professional Services
Planning and organising projects and shows for community events such as festivals and commissioned work as well as professional events.
Who we are....Leith’s School of Dance provides dancers with an all-round preparation for a dynamic and innovative dance profession through the development of dance techniques and natural ability to their maximum potential. Strong emphasis is placed on creativity and professionalism whilst retaining the established traditions of technique and discipline.
We have experienced staff with international reputations as performers and teachers, all of which have attained a BA in Dance and all staff employed by Leith’s are CRB cleared.
Current and Future Projects.
Currently working with professional dance companies in Jamaica, Brazil, Germany and France in preparation for an international tour.
