Parable of the Lost Sheep

If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, he

leaves the ninety-nine and goes to the mountains to look for his

lost sheep. And when he finds it, he is so glad that he puts it on

his shoulders and carries it home. Then he calls his friends and

neighbors and says, Lets celebrate! Ive found my lost sheep.

Parabola della pecora perduta e ritrovata

Se un uomo ha cento pecore e ne perde una, che cosa fa?Lascia le altre novantanove al sicuro per andare a cercarequella che si smarrita e la cerca finch non l'ha ritrovata.Quando la trova, se la mette sulle spalle pieno di gioia, eritorna a casa sua. Poi chiama gli amici e i vicini e dice loro:'Fate festa con me, perch ho ritrovato la mia pecora, quella

che si era smarrita'.

Jesus is our shepherd. He always has hope

for us, no matter how far weve strayed. So

if you feel far from God, you need only open

your heart to receive His love and

forgiveness.

Ges il buon pastore. Ha sempre qualche

speranza per noi, anche se ci siamo

allontanati molto. Quindi, se ti senti

lontano da Dio, devi solo aprire il tuo

The Two Houses

Jesus said, Anyone who hears and obeys

My teachings is like a wise person who

built a house on solid rock. Rain poured

down, rivers flooded, and winds beat

against that house. But it did not fall,

because it was built on solid rock.

Ges disse, 'Chi ascolta queste mie parolee le mette in pratica sar simile a un

uomo intelligente che ha costruito la suacasa sulla roccia. venuta la pioggia, ifiumi sono straripati, i venti hannosoffiato con violenza contro quella casa,ma essa non crollata, perch le sue

fondamenta erano sulla roccia'.

However, anyone who hears my teachings

and doesnt obey them is like a foolish

person who built a house on sand. The rain

poured down, the rivers flooded, and the

winds blew and beat against that house.Finally, it fell with a crash.

You are the carpenter of your

life. Each day you hammer a

nail, place a board, or erect a

wall. Your attitudes and thechoices you make today build

your house for tomorrow. Build

wisely!

Sei tu il carpentiere checostruisce la tua vita: ognigiorno pianti un chiodo,sistemi una tavola, erigi una

parete. Latteggiamento che

hai nei confronti della vita, lescelte che fai oggi sono quelleche determinano landamento

della costruzione della tuacasa di domani. Costruisci

Parable of the Unforgiving Servant

The kingdom of Heaven is like a King who wanted to

settle accounts with his servants. As he was doing this,

one servant was brought in who owed him a very large

sum of money. However, the servant was not able to

pay his debt. The king then ordered him to be sold,

along with his wife and children and all he owned, inorder to pay the debt.

Parabola del servo crudele

Perch il regno di Dio cos. Un re decise di controllarei servi che avevano amministrato i suoi beni. Stava

facendo i suoi conti, quando gli portarono un servitoreche doveva pagargli un'enorme somma di denaro. Macostui non poteva pagare, e per questo il re ordin divenderlo come schiavo e di vendere anche sua moglie,i suoi figli e ci che possedeva, per fargli pagare ildebito.

The official got down on his knees and began

begging, Have pity on me, and I will pay you

every cent I owe!

The king felt sorry for him and forgave the

servants debt.

Allora il servitore si inginocchi davanti alre e si mise a pregarlo: 'Abbi pazienzacon me e ti pagher tutto!'

Il re ebbe piet di lui: cancell il suo

debito e lo lasci andare.

This same servant went to a fellow servant who owed

him a small amount of money, grabbed him by the

throat and said, "Pay me what you owe me!"

The fellow servant fell to his knees and begged, "Be

patient with me and I will pay you." But the first

servant had the poor man thrown in jail until he paid

his debt.

Appena uscito, quel servitore incontr un suocompagno che doveva pagargli una piccola sommadi denaro. Lo prese per il collo e lo stringeva fino asoffocarlo mentre diceva: - Paga quel che mi devi!

L'altro cadde ai suoi piedi e si mise a supplicarlo: -Abbi pazienza con me e ti pagher. Ma costui nonvolle saperne, anzi lo fece mettere in prigione finoa quando non avesse pagato tutto il debito.

When some other servants found out what had

happened, they told the king what the first

servant did. The king called the first official back

in and said, You evil servant! I had mercy on you

and forgave your debt. Dont you think youshould show pity to someone else, as I did to

you? The king then ordered the servant to be

thrown in jail until he could pay back everything

he owed.

Gli altri servitori videro queste cose e rimaseromolto dispiaciuti. Andarono dal re e gliraccontarono tutto quel che era accaduto. Allorail re chiam di nuovo quel servitore e gli disse:

'Servo crudele! Io ti ho perdonato quel debitoenorme perch tu mi hai supplicato. Dovevianche tu aver piet del tuo compagno, cos comeio ho avuto piet di te'. Poi, pieno di collera, lo

fece mettere in prigione fino a quando nonavesse pagato tutto il debito'.

forgiving each other even as

God for Christs sake has
