MPM8000 is a powerful multifunction power meter withmodular design, which can be applied for monitoring andcontrolling of the electrical system. MPM8000 can measureand analyze real time data, such as U, I, P, Q, S, COSΦ, F,kWh, kVAr, etc. MPM8000 has the following functions:RS-485 communication port, 2 energy pulse output (includeactive energy and reactive energy), Max/min data record,and SOE event record. MPM8000 can extend functions bychoosing the external optional modules: harmonic analysis,8 remote signals on/off mode, programmable 4 analogoutputs (0~5V or 4~20mA optional), data storage, ProfibusCom. protocol, Ethernet communication functions. Themulti-tariff function allows the user to measure energy inany interval (the min. interval is 30min.), which can read thesum, sharp, peak, valley, flat energy data in 30 days, andmeasure 2nd to 63rd harmonics in statistics.

All our instruments fulfill all important requirementsand regulations concerning electromagnetic compatibilityand safety isolation (IEC61000, IEC1010 standard andEN61010 standard). The devices have been developed,manufactured and tested in accordance with QualityAssurance System ISO 9001.

The meter MPM8000 can be applied in single phase, 3-Ph3Wire, 3-Ph 4Wire system. It can be applied vastly in thefield of secondary measurement in high Voltage, lowVoltage system, or transmission of measured data.

The programmable parameters are: com. address, PT, CT,baud rte, clock, demand cycle, user password, multi-tariffrate, etc. The user can set up relay output, analog output onPC.The parameters setup on meter and PC: com. address, PT,CT, baud rate, time, demand statistics, no. of remote signal,user password, multi-tariff, IO module detection, Ethernetsetup.

Auxiliary module's function and usage

8 remote signals input module: This module has 8sourcefree remote signals input channels, each channel canbe setted up separately to check the outside on-off status.Detail setup can be finished through the key on the meterand upper computer. The function of upper readSOE(Sequence of events) by connecting the SOE interfacewhich record accurately the status and detail time of events.

Programmable 4 relay outputs module: This module has 4separate electric relay output channels, which can be setted upseparately to corresponding different electricity parameter’sautomatic model and manual model which can be operated byupper computer. Associated automatic alarm function can triggerevent to record the present power system status; without alarm,the 4 electric relay will normally keep open.

Programmable 4 analog outputs module: This modulehas 4 analog output, voltage or current model optional.Output adopts 4 channels same negative terminal format,each channel corresponding separately to differentelectricity parameter. Current is: (4--20) mA output, voltageis: (0--5) V output.

SD card data storage module: Adopted advanced high-capacityinternal storage SD card to store electrical measurementparameter at real time; and store the data for a given period oftime. The data can be educed and analysed by upper computer,internal storage of SD card is optional.

Harmonic analysis module: It can display each measuredinformation of the harmonic, and feedback the electricharmonic parameter, including (2~63 times) harmoniccontent; phase angle etc. measured information.

Data storage and harmonic analysis module: This modulecombined SD card data storage and harmonic analysis function,which can store electrical measurement data and harmonicmeasurement data, including analysis and display (2~63times)harmonic content; phase angle etc. measured information.

Ethernet communication module: It can connect toEthernet by RJ45, and read electrical measurement byremote access. Adopted 10M and 100M self-adaptionmodel. (Default IP address is:192.168.0.250; Local port27011)

Profibus communication module: The meter can Networkthrough Profibus communication Protocol terminal, fullycomplied with Profibus-DP Communication Protocol.

Note: A max. of 4 modules can be applied to 1 main unit, and the same type of modules can’t be selected together. C and Vcan’t be selected at the same time; B can’t be selected with M or H.
