Lawton, Oklahoma (June 3, 2015) - Silver-Line Plastics, an industry-leading manufacturer of plastic pipe

products, announced a major expansion of its Lawton manufacturing facility located in Lawton’s West

Industrial Park.

The company’s plan will double the size of the current facility and add more extrusion lines to increase

production capacity and better serve its growing customer base. “When we were first ready to expand

outside our home state of North Carolina 15 years ago, we chose Lawton for its business friendly

environment, strategic location, and people,” said Ricky Silver, President and CEO. “This expansion

confirms that Silver-Line made the right decision,” Silver said, “We look forward to growing our business

in Lawton for many years to come.”

The expansion will mean about 20 new jobs at the Lawton Plant, according to Keith O. Bridges, Director

of Economic Development and Recruitment at Great Plains Technology Center (GPTC). Bridges and the

Lawton Economic Development Corporation (LED) have worked closely with Silver-Line’s management

team to make this expansion possible.

“With the new jobs Silver-Line’s Lawton workforce will grow to about 80 employees over the next few

increase its annual payroll to about three and one-half million dollars a year,” he said. It’s expected the

project will result in capital investments of up to $10 million over the next five years.

Lawton’s Mayor, Fred Fitch said, “This economic development project is a great example on how a

community can leverage its economic development resources like Comanche County Industrial

Development Authority (CCIDA), Lawton Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) and Great Plains

Technology Center (GPTC).”

Several entities worked in tandem to put an economic development package together for Silver-Line

according to Bridges. He credited a Comanche County Industrial Development Authority (CCIDA)

$800,000 loan, state incentives by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, business services provided

by Great Plains Technology Center’s Economic Development Center, Lawton Economic Development

Corporation (LED) and the Lawton Ft. Sill Chamber of Commerce.

Phil Kennedy, Lawton-Fort Sill Economic Development Corporations (LED) Chairman of the Board said,

“LED designed and implemented new strategies that included leading and engaging our community

partners. In this past year we are starting to see these strategic results with job creation and capital

investment in our community.”

Construction is to expand the plant located at 8801 SW Neal (near Lawton Goodyear) and will start in the

third quarter of 2015.
