Lava In a Cup

My mom and I were looking for a science experiment then we found a brilliant experiment. It was called “lava in a cup”. You need red food coloring, cup, oil, water and salt. First you mix the water and food coloring in the cup then put oil which floats on the top of the water because oil does not mix with water. So it rises to the top. Then put salt in. The salt carries the oil down with it. The salt dissolves but the oil doesn't so it comes back up looking like the drops of a lava lamp. It is pretty cool. You should try it!
