Lavastyle – Filler Coating for Walls and Floors gives the surfaces an awesome look Lavastyle gives a special look to sophisticated personal areas and in homes where aesthetic requirements are more than ordinary, while also used for decorating stores and public areas. It is applied to walls, floors, built staircases, built countertops in bathrooms and kitchens, built baths, etc. It is a very strong and waterproof material, available in more than 150 colours.

It is a completely eco-friendly, natural and bioclimatic material. It is made of Pozolana (LAVA), cement, lime water, quartz sand and ceramic powder.

By covering Lavastyle with a special varnish, it is protected against staining by pollutants, oils, etc. LAVAFLOOR

The result is reinforced and completely waterproof, for applications of 3-4mm max. thickness.

It provides excellent traction and increased mechanical strength, even when layered for in-floor heating.

RECOMMENDED FOR It may be used in interior or external areas, on walls, floors, staircases, countertops, baths, plywood, gypsum boards and cement boards.

APPLICATION PREREQUISITES The undercoat for the floor must comprise of standard smooth cement mortar for tiles (river sand or seasand with cement). The undercoat for countertops and

staircases must be smooth cement sand mortar. The undercoat for walls must be the last, thin layer of plaster. The undercoat must be structurally strong and

free from dust, oils, debris, etc. In addition, it must be polished first with sandpaper. It is applied also on gypsum boards with stucco at their screws and

connections and on cement boards, where the mesh and its coat have been placed. Moreover, it can be applied to old tiles, mosaic, etc., provided we have

installed quartz traction primer and treated the surface with quartz stucco.



APPLICATION We clean the undercoat, after verifying that it has matured 100% and that all fissures have come to the surface. We thin out and mix the material using a drilling machine, until it is turned to a thin and fluid mass without lumps, just like the spatula stucco.

FOR ALL SURFACES SAVE FROM FLOOR AND STAIRCASE

We cover the surface with a first application, using a spatula. After drying, we proceed to the second application, while "pressing and smoothening” the surface using the spatula. All the above operations are made on the same day.

FOR THE FLOOR AND STAIRCASE

We cover using the A floor material, with a spatula, and we install inside the mesh. On the same day, after it has dried up, we apply a second coat on top of it (again floor A material), in order to cover the mesh. On the next day, we apply two coats with the final thin coat of the floor (B floor material) or staircase. When applying the final coat, we “press and smoothen" the surface using the spatula. At this final coat, we may also smooth the surface by using a sponge. If we choose to use a sponge, before using varnishes, we may rub the surface of the floor or staircase using polishing paper (40 gauge), in order to have a completely smooth result.

VARNISHES

Following 2 - 3 days, and after the cement mortar has completely dried up, and after we polish any imperfections using thin sandpaper, we apply the varnish coats, as noted in the instructions placed on the varnish can. By covering stucco cement mortar with a special varnish, it is protected against staining by

pollutants, oils, etc.

STORAGE Can be kept for 12 months minimum in the original cans in dry places.

SAFETY INFORMATION Contains Portland cement. The MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) is available on request. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS The material inside the canister is mixed solely with water. No other additive is required. Available time for Using the mixture (20°C): 45 minutes. Minimum application temperature: + 5°C. Time required for drying each layer (20°C): 30 - 60 minutes depending on the undercoat. These periods can be increased in low temperatures and humidity, and reduced in increased tem peratures.
