LAURA MICHELLE BOND P: 02 6255 1974 E: [email protected] M: 0402 691 026 Location: Holt, ACT CAREER OVERVIEW My main employment has been in the Australian Defence Force which I was employed for a period of eight years, I discharged from the Defence force in 2012 to have children and to raise a family. Whilst in the Defence Force I was trained in hardware installations, HIPE encryption devices, satellite communications and Network Engineering. For the last 3 years I have arranged my work life around my family taking various part time and full time positions where I could but never entering the ICT field until now. Ideally I would like to return to full time ICT work, whilst in the Australian Army I worked previously in this field and enjoyed the role immensely. While in defence I completed basic and advance router courses and I am currently studying CCNA to further enhance my skills and knowledge. I currently still hold my Secret clearance NV1 from the Defence Force. KEY STRENGTHS Well presented, punctual, very polite, and mature. Good knowledge of Telecommunications. Good fault finding skills. Excellent work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.

CAREER OVERVIEW

My main employment has been in the Australian Defence Force which I was employed for a period of eight years, I discharged from the Defence force in 2012 to have children and to raise a family. Whilst in the Defence Force I was trained in hardware installations, HIPE encryption devices, satellite communications and Network Engineering.

Infinity Fire Protection offered fire protection equipment installations and services in Canberra.

Key responsibilities as a Technician & Service Coordinator:

Conducted monthly services, repairs and fault finding tasks.

Key achievements:

Helped install fire protection equipment at Golds Gym at the Hyper-dome. Helped fault find and repair at multiple locations. Conducted monthly servicing.

Control Equipment Pty Ltd supplied and serviced Gas Detection equipment throughout Australia.

Key responsibilities as a Technician & Service Coordinator:

Provide on site evaluation and quotes for new Gas Detection Systems. Coordinate service work with all clients and field technicians. Provide written service reports for clients. Provide Training to new technicians and agents. Write and update Gas Detection Systems User manuals and calibration certificates. Service and Calibrate Gas detection equipment in the workshop or on site.

Key achievements:

Planned and executed month by month service schedule for all field technicians. Worked with sales staff to plan, coordinate and implement future contracts. Conducted fault finding and repaired work on gas detection systems returned from customer

locations such as oil rigs to ships and other locations. Provided regular onsite service and calibration for Brisbane Bus Tunnels, St Lucia University,

Several Meat works and many underground car parks within Brisbane’s CBD.

The Australian Army Signals Corp provides a wide range of communications services too Australian defence personal with in Australia and deployed units overseas.

Key responsibilities as a Technician:

Establish communication trunks utilizing radio, satellite and cable infrastructure Maintain communication equipment. Design and plan communication field environment. Provide technical help and information to hierarchy Work together with other communication personal to maintain communication network.

Key achievements

Deployed to Afghanistan with FUC-2 to provide specialist communication in War Zone. Installed Internet and Foxtel to all Forward Observation Bases utilizing satellite bearer systems

whilst deployed. Upgraded coalition cable networks throughout the Main Base of Operations in Afghanistan. Successfully held regular Video Teleconferencing whilst deployed back to Australian Assets.

Key achievements:

Provided communications for the Avalon Air show in Victoria. Provided a safety communications link for the Australian Army Annual Cadet Camp in Victoria.

Aussie Disposals is an outdoor adventure store that sells camping equipment and military surplus to the public.

Key responsibilities:

Sell and restock goods within the store. Provide high standards in customer service. Manage money and ordering of stock. Manage store and staff when the manager is away.

Key achievements:

Was able to convey advice onto customers from pass experiences in camping and military matters.

Managed the store and staff by myself on multiple occasions. Received an offered for a manager position to look after my own store on permanent bases if I

wished to continue working for the company.
