Miele tumble dryers

Condenser dryerCondenser dryers give you the option to install your appliance anywhere you want as the only connection required is a mains socket. Instead of ducting the moisture-laden air to atmosphere, condenser dryers cool it down in a closed air circuit causing the moisture to condense.

Heat-pump dryersMiele's particularly energy-efficient heat-pump dryers offer the same convenience and flexibility as conventional condenser dryers but use up to 50% less energy. Miele heat-pump dryers boast a 6-star energy efficiency rating.

How would you like your appliance installed?Washing machine and tumble dryer installation options

Side by sideTechnically and optically, Miele washing machines and tumble dryers match each other perfectly. This allows you to install both appliances side by side and transfer freshly washed textiles conveniently to the tumble dryer.

Built-underMiele appliances WDA 110, WDA 210 and TDA 150C can be installed under a worktop. When replacing the machine lid with a building-under kit, these appliances fit below a worktop with a niche height of 82 cm.

Slot-underAll Miele front-loading machines slot in under a worktop with a minimum niche height of 85 cm. This installation option does not require the appliance lid to be removed.

Washer and dryer stackIf there is not sufficient space available to install two appliances next to one another, Miele washing machines and tumble dryers can be conveniently combined as a washer-dryer stack. In this arrangement, the washing machine is always installed under the tumble dryer. Miele offers various stacking kits for a stable connection between the two appliances. Some feature a practical drawer that is ideal for storing accessories or for conveniently resting the laundry basket on whilst loading and unloading the tumble dryer.

TwinDos dispensing on washing machines'

TwinDos Type of textile, quantity of laundry and the degree of

soiling - all these factors have to be taken into consideration to dispense the right amount of detergent.

With the TwinDos function two detergent containers are used with the washing machine and, at the touch of a button, the appliance dispenses the optimum quantity of detergent for the laundry to be washed.

For best results use the unique Miele 2-Phase detergent - UltraPhase 1 and 2. TwinDos dispenses the two components at the correct time during the wash process. This system washes your clothes thoroughly and ensures radiant coloured and white textiles.

As an alternative, TwinDos can also dispense conventional liquid detergents or conditioner automatically. Simply fill the Miele refill containers, which are available as a Miele optional accessory, and the appliance dispenses the correct quantity.

No matter what you choose, Miele's TwinDos always dispenses the right quantity, simply and cleanly. And should you wish to use a different detergent such as powder, then simply dispense the powder via the detergent dispenser drawer.

Accurate dispensing is difficult to accomplish manually. However, the ecological institute Öko Institute e.V. in Freiburg, Germany, has certified a 30% detergent saving potential thanks to the automatic dispensing feature from Miele.

Best liquid detergent system on the market!

The German Hohenstein test institute tested the automatic 2-Phase dispensing system in connection with Miele's UltraPhase 1 and UltraPhase 2 detergents. They confirmed excellent wash results in terms of stain removal, the degree of whiteness, the anti-greying effect and accuracy of dispensing.

No other liquid detergent washes whites as well as coloureds as thoroughly as the 2-Phase-System from Miele. That is because conventional liquid detergents do not contain any bleach which would damage the other ingredients. However, oxygenated bleach is necessary to remove stubborn stains such as coffee, tea, fruit juice and red wine.

UltraPhase 1 and 2 are stored and dispensed separately, making it possible to add oxygenated bleach to the TwinDos system. Active ingredients in UltraPhase 1 break up the soil and remove stains such as oil, grease, protein and starch stains.

With UltraPhase 2, oxygenated bleach is added at the appropriate time during the wash process and removes even stubborn stains such as coffee, tea, fruit juice or red wine.

CapDosingMiele portioned capsules provide a convenient solution for processing laundry requiring special applications. They are simply placed into the fabric conditioner compartment. Choose from four special detergents (Sport, Down, WoolCare and SilkCare), three fabric conditioners (Aqua, Nature, Cocoon), as well as a Booster which deals with persistent soiling.

Delay start and countdown indicatorThe delay start feature allows you to determine when you want the next wash programme to start. This is of particular advantage if you want to use off-peak electricity or when you want a programme to finish when you come home from work, for example. You can postpone the start of a programme by up to 24 hours. The display also informs you of the time the current programme will finish.

WaterProof System (WPS)The WPS Water Protection System features a double solenoid valve directly at the stopcock. In the event that the first valve is defective, the second one closes the inlet. The sheathed inlet hose also ensures the highest level of safety. In the event of a defect in the inlet hose, water flows down the outer sleeve into the sump. Just as the WCS, the WPS also features intelligent sensor technology: leakages are recognised and the water intake is terminated.

Stains option1)

Up to 23 different types of stains can be treated in a Miele washing machine – up to three types of stains at the same time. Simply add the respective programme option and the wash programme is adjusted accordingly to suit the specific stain. The integrated stain-removal guide in the display advises how to tackle the stain in question efficiently. This is only available from Miele.

SteamCare2)

SteamCare from Miele smoothes your textiles gently and effectively with the assistance of steam – even before the load is removed from the washing machine! The need for ironing is verifiably reduced by up to 50%3). Some textiles do not require ironing at all after this treatment. With "Steam smoothing", you can wash and smooth your clothing in one process. With "Steam Finish" you can treat already washed textiles.

SoftSteam drum4)

If "Pre-ironing" or "Steam smoothing" is selected, the drum is heated after the final spin cycle. This has a smoothing effect and loosens the laundry which can then be easily removed.

TwinDosTwinDos offers two options for dispensing detergent automatically at the touch of a button. For best results use the unique 2-Phase detergents UltraPhase 1 and 2. TwinDos dispenses these two components at the appropriate time during the wash process. With this system, Miele offers the best liquid detergent system on the market. Alternatively, fill the refill containers (available as an optional accessory) with liquid detergent or conditioner. Wash AssistantIf you do not know which programme is the most suitable one for a specific textile, the Miele Wash Assistant can help: simply enter the type of textile, degree of soiling, colour and desired spin result – and the electronic module establishes the most suitable programme. You always achieve a perfect wash result with the Wash Assistant.

Water Control System (WCS)The Water Control System (WCS) monitors the water intake with a water level sensor. Water intake is automatically terminated if the normal water level is not reached. If there is water leakage inside the machine, the inlet valve inside the appliance is closed and the water and suds container is drained off. A float switch in the drip tray also recognises leaking water.

At the beginning of the drying process, water is sprayed into the honeycomb drum creating a fine mist which is heated by the drying air. FragranceDosWith Miele fragrance flacons your laundry is given a beautiful scent during the drying cycle. A family-run company in the south of France, which has been creating perfumes since 1871, produces fragrances for Miele. Using a patented process their perfume specialists ensure that the essential oils in the perfume are preserved. The result: fresh and fragrant laundry that lasts for up to four weeks.

Heat-pump technologyHeat-pump tumble dryers are known for high energy efficiency and ensure laundry dries particularly economically. The low temperatures of the heat-pump technology are very gentle on valuable fibres of your textiles. This allows you to conveniently dry even delicate items.

High condensation efficiencyAn important quality criteria for tumble dryers is that the entire unit is leak-proof. The less hot moisture-laden air leaking from the dryer, the better the condensation performance. High evaporation losses in closed rooms are also very unpleasant: condensation on walls can result in mould and damage to the fabric of a building. Miele tumble dryers achieve best leak-proof values – and therefore the highest condensation efficiency rating.

Honeycomb drum1)

Unlock and allow the ironing table to slide into a horizontal position until it engages - almost like magic.

Active ironing tableAs soon as the steam button on the hand iron is pressed, the fan inside the ironing table starts, and switches off automatically during ironing breaks. The memory function activates the last used suction or inflation function the next time steam is required.

Automatic descalingDescaling now or later? One less matter to worry about. You only have to key in the water hardness once. The appliance informs you in good time when it is necessary to descale the machine. The programme starts at the touch of a button, and with the addition of a suitable descaling agent it runs completely automatically.

Automatic rinsingMineral residue left behind by the evaporation process must be regularly removed by rinsing the steam generator to ensure consistent appliance performance.
