Each Lattice equation must have boxes. In this case for this equation it is a 2 by 1 box but if it was 56x23 it would be a 2 by 2 box.

For each number you multiply the top number on the side by the two top numbers in the Top 2 boxes then repeat with the bottom number

3When you put the numbers in the boxes put the tens in the top box and the ones in the smaller box.

As shown in the example above, you add the numbers in a diagonal way then carry if needed and put the number in the ones place in the bottom space.
