teaches participants to understand the impact of our culture on us as lead-

Latina Global Executive Leadership ProgramWhat is this program? An 8-month certificate program designed to provide a selectgroup of Latina leaders the opportunity to develop globally-integrated, cross-culturally interactive competencies thatwill allow them to effectively lead in the twenty-firstcentury. It provides Latina professionals with techniquesand tools to assist them in their leadership developmentjourneys, exploring concepts such as lifelong leadershipdevelopment, the power of your life story, the impact ofyour crucible, discovering your authentic self, knowing yourvalues, leadership principles and ethical boundaries, understanding your motivated capabilities, building supportteams, leading an integrated and purpose-driven life, empowering leadership, and improving leadershipeffectiveness through your style and use of power.

What is the purpose of this program? To address the lack of Latina Corporate, Non-Profit andGovernment Leadership representation in the upper ech-elons of organizations, the Latina Leadership Academy, haspartnered with its host sponsor, the University of SouthernCalifornia’s Marshall School of Business, a division of theWomen’s Institute of Negotiation, and launched the first ofits kind: Latina Global Executive Leadership Program. Itis the first program in the country to approach critical or-ganizational leadership skills from a gender-based, culturaland global perspective

Who should attend? The program is designed for high potential mid to seniorlevel Latina managers.

Why focus on just Latinas?According to a recent Bureau of Labor Statistics study, atnearly 23 million, people of Hispanic or Latino ethnicityrepresented 15 percent of the U.S. labor force in 2011. By2020, Latinos are expected to comprise 19 percent of theU.S. labor force, and a large portion of this surging work-force will be Latinas. While businesses are recognizing theneed to be a more inclusive work force, they are not bene-fiting from the full potential of Latinas as decision makers, consumer advocates, and influencers in a global economybecause there has not been an investment in their profes-sional evolution.

“The training is so impactful that the return on investment [ROI]

starts immediately, the minute one walks out the door.”
