UNIQUE LASER CONTROL THAT OPTIMIZES SHEET METAL CUTTING

Thanks to its own developed and built laser source, AMADA designed a very unique laser cutting control on the new ENSIS machine. The two main outputs from this machine are first a continuous adaptation of the process to the metal thickness, and second an optimized usage of energy so the machine can do the same jobs as a conventional machine for much lower consumption.

The technological innovations developed for the ENSIS-3015 AJ, together with Amada's expertise provide this machine with the following key features :

• Full range cutting capability without the need to change lenses. Continuous operation from thin to thick material without any additional setup.

• 2kW high quality result and high performance comparable to 4kW conventional laser cutting capabilities.

• Improvement of energy efficiency providing higher quality beam.

• Laser modules are 50% smaller compared to similar modules of the same capacity and the fiber laser source is built-in to the machine frame.

• The integration of the mechanical and electrical components into a single unit provides maximum productivity while minimizing floor space requirements.

AMADA is always pushing to reduce the environmental impact of the solutions we provide. The ENSIS laser cutting machine is another premium example of this philosophy. With the ability to process thick material only previously possible with higher powered lasers, the ENSIS machine achieves an industry first - high performance laser cutting with a low power oscillator. In most cases, with mild steel, the high quality/thickness performances reached by the ENSIS AJ machine and its 2kW source is comparable to the result of a 4kW conventional machine.

ENSIS-3015 AJ is equipped with the AMNC 3i NC and a new touch screen interface providing a user friendly, ergonomic solution. The ease of use has been dramatically increased, allowing the user to increase productivity through less operator intervention.

In the constant challenging business environment of the sheet-metal industry, getting the most productive tools is a key to open the door to new market segments.

Adding automation modules to a machine such as ENSIS-3015 AJ is a well proven step towards productivity and higher competitiveness.The standard 2 pallet shuttle table can be replaced by an MPF or an ASF-EU automation system.

The new ENSIS AJ source allows the machine to cut continuously from thin-to-thick material without changing the lens. A variable control unit adapts the beam to the material. Furthermore AMADA know-how in laser source development allows the source size to be reduced and integrated into the machine structure, saving space on the floor.
