INTISARI
Belajar merupakan kegiatan pokok yang dilakukan di sekolah, khususnya untuk seorang siswa. Siswa harus memperhatikan penjelasan materi pelajaran yang diberikan oleh guru. Namun saat ini guru hanya menjelaskan materi pelajaran dengan metode konvensional, sehingga siswa menjadi kurang aktif karena hanya memperhatikan dan mendengar saja. Metode ini berdampak pada semangat belajar yang menurun karena merasa bosan dengan metode‐metode seperti itu saja. Seharusnya dengan perkembangan teknologi masa kini, guru dapat memanfaatkannya untuk meningkatkan semangat belajar siswa secara efisien dan mandiri serta mengajarkan siswa untuk berperan aktif dalam pembelajaran. Pemanfaatan teknologi yang ada dengan menggunakan aplikasi berbasis mobileatau biasa disebut mobile learning(m‐learning) sebagai sarana pendidikan, agar siswa dapat mengakses pembelajaran dimana saja kapan saja. Penelitian ini bertujuan membangun aplikasi pembelajaran ips untuk anak sekolah dasar berbasis mobile dengan menggunakan metode pengembangan system MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle).

ABSTRACT
Learning is a major activity especially undertaken by students in schools. Students should pay attention to the lessons explained by teachers. However, it is found that the students become less active while listening to the teacher in conventional methods since they are supposed to listen and pay attention only. This method affected on the students' learning spirit, they get easily bored with such methods. Nowadays, with the the development of technology, teachers are supposed to apply it to improve the spirit of student learning efficiently and independently as well as to encourage students to play an active role in learning. They can use existing technology like mobile‐based applications or commonly called mobile learning (m‐learning) as a means of education, so students can access learning anywhere and anytime. This study aims to create social science learning using mobile‐based applications for primary school students by development method system of MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle).
