Nitrogen : sangat diperlukan dalam pertumbuhan tanaman, sering juga digunakan sebagai bahan dasar industri pupuk.
Argon : digunakan bersama dengan gas neon dalam industri listrik.
Karbondioksida : dibuthkan dalam pernapasan dan fotosintesis tumbuhan
Neon : dimanfaatkan dalam dunia kedokteran, misalnya rontgen.
Helium : dimanfaatkan untuk mengisi balon gas, balon udara dan bahan bakar mesin roket.
