While enjoying a casual solo hike along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, hiker Susan Galloway slipped on a loose rock and slid 40 feet to a small precarious ledge that stopped her fall. Risking a further fall into the canyon and plagued with heat exhaustion, she knew climbing back up wasn’t an option. Susan used this very whistle to call out for help, catching the attention of a group of passing rafters. “This whistle saved my life and became the most important purchase of my trip,” said Susan as she held up her Hike Smart whistle with a smile.

At Lantern Press, we’re all about collaboration. We encourage our employees, at all levels, to take initiative with creative ideas, whether that means developing new products or being innovative in how images are presented on our current product line.Take Tiffany and Jessica, for example. Originally from Michigan, they ventured west to seek new opportunity and discovered Lantern Press. They were attracted to the unique imagery we offer, as well as the made in USA focus we have as a company, harkening back to their Detroit roots. They take great pride in knowing they make a difference to America’s domestic production. Tiffany, our production coordinator, is instrumental in making sure things run efficiently. She also operates our 6,000-lb. paper cutter, which can cut through five inches of paper in a single pass. Keeping up with demand is no small feat when more than 8,000 products are being made each day! Jessica is known for her attention to detail and making sure your product arrives in perfect condition. Operating our heat presses, Jessica has to adjust temperature, pressure, and duration for each batch, depending on colors. She also assembles our Boutique product, making sure each item is made just right. Beyond the production tasks that keep her busy, Jessica has a creative eye; she is always thinking about the next big thing for our sales department to bring to our customers. She brings imagination and vision to Lantern Press and keeps the sales team inspired. Tiffany and Jessica have watched the Lantern Press

catalog grow to more than 80 products! They continually step up to the plate, working on research and development of new products such as our coasters, collectible pins, and patches. Coasters required hundreds of tests to ensure the best color possible while allowing the coaster to remain absorbent. With hard work and the ability to test right on site with domestic production, we’re able to ensure a quality product for you. It’s generally the little things that go unnoticed, but not when it comes to keeping a 12,000 square foot

facility running smoothly (not to mention, our architect has our new 40,000 square foot facility nearly designed for construction in late 2015). Tiffany and Jessica go the extra mile to help out new staff members, settinga standard for meeting production goals and giving tips on how to assemble products efficiently. This is why you see consistent high

quality from Lantern Press. We pride ourselves in being a Made in USA company where we have full control over the quality of every product that goes out the door. We’ve instilled a collaborative culture here at Lantern Press. Everyone has their unique role, but we all work together to create a great product.
