Langston Hughes Poetry Assignment When you’ve finished reading and discussing the poem, try to think of another way this poem could be presented. You can work with your group (or even in pairs or individually if you so choose) to come up with a different way to look at your Langston Hughes’ poem: This could take the form of a drawing, an idea for a music video (what song could go along with it?), a movie preview or a concept for a movie, a comic strip, a new poem (haiku?), or even a new biography of Langston Hughes using the poem as insight. Anything goes, as long as it’s creative! Use any markers, paper, etc. available in the room.
