COMPOSITION

Throughout my photos I think I have captures with good composition, mainly because with my photos I would think about what I would like to have in the image, and what points I’d like to be the key interest within the photo. Good frame work also helped when taking the photos, but if there was any kind of unwanted part of the photo around the edges I could crop them slightly so the photo would be more cleaned up.

LOCATIONS AND TIME OF DAY

For my photography shoots I mainly spent the time at Cannock Chase, here I could get many different varieties of landscape photos. For the shoot I set out around 5pm and stayed out until 7-8pm this way the lighting had a chance to change as I was moving around the area. Other places I went to were around the near area, going over to the canal and getting a shot of the going along in the photo, along with a tree overhang. The final place was a rape field where I could use the yellow of the rape seeds as a kind of background interest while the foreground could have something else in focus.

TECHNICAL

With my photos one of the key things I didn’t want to happen was to over or under expose the image, so I would adjust the ISO, aperture and shutter speed accordingly. I mainly kept the ISO within the 100-200 range and didn’t want to take it to high. With one of the photos of the focused flower I captured it on F11 at 1/2500th of a second, this allowed me to keep in focus on just the flower and blur out the background.

SAFETY

Going to Cannock Chase there was plenty of trip hazards and things which could cut ourselves. So to prevent these hazards I would keep a clear eye on where I would be walking and keeping track of my rout so I couldn’t get lost in the massive area I traveled. Avoiding these hazards also helped damaging any of the equipment I used such as the camera or tripod
