This is a sort of mindful hiking popular in Japan and, increasingly, Korea. It emphasizes a multisensory experience, and researchers there have deeply studied the effects of the scent of the hinoki cypress tree. However, it also has a business aspect, encouraging tourism to Japan’s natural areas, and helping to justify their preservation.

Public Square
• The Group Plan Commission is a non-profit organization that lead the efforts to revitalize Public Square along with other signature public space in downtown Cleveland. The commission works closely with the City of Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Greater Cleveland Partnership, Downtown Cleveland Alliance, and LAND Studio. Cleveland's Public Square was designed with people in mind. The newly renovated park features a singular layout along with other great features like Rebol cafe, a water fountain, an ice rink, a lush lawn with a natural amphitheater, the KeyBank walking promenade, a speakers terrace, and much more.
• The reimagined Public Square is part of The Group Plan's mission to better connect Public Square, the Malls, and the lakefront.
